I currently train at Lotus Club BJJ in Abilene Tx. Master Cunha is a 6th degree black belt from Brazil. The environment is very inviting and will give as much as you want to put into it. There is also a children's class taught by Master Cunha with the help of his daughter. No Bullies In Here!! Of course we are competitive in here but come with humility and respect. We are all trying to better each other here!

I first stepped foot on a Jiu-Jitsu mat back in 2001. I have visited and trained at a lot of gyms around the country over the years. With this experience, I can honestly say that Abilene is very lucky to have a true Jiu-Jitsu Master in its city. Master Cunha is a 6th degree Black Belt from Brazil and it definitely shows. He has a lifetime of knowledge and direct experience straight from the source, and it shows in his teaching. Jiu-Jitsu competitors literally leave their home and move to different cities to train with a Master of his caliber. The instruction here is top notch. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, is is Master Cunha’s personality. Him and his lovely family make you feel like you are a part of their family. Starting Jiu-Jitsu can be a scary idea for a lot of people. But not at this gym. The students care for one another and you will not find any bullies or maliciousness at this gym. It’s not tolerated. Jiujitsu has changed my life in a myriad of positive ways. Self confidence, humbleness, resilience, mental toughness and physical health to name but a few. Jiujitsu benefits the community by producing well adjusted and confident children. These kids don’t get bullied or intimidated because Jiujitsu gives them the tools to mitigate that. And Master Frontin Cunha is the man to teach them.
