Equipment is poorly maintained. When I walked into half the bikes say “scheduled for service”. Several treadmills aren’t even on or are not working with no sign. Every time I come the up and down buttons on the treadmill handles are stuck. All of the bikes are missing the foot strap.

I was disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of the LA Fitness gym and changing areas. The equipment seemed outdated and not well-maintained, and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The changing rooms were often dirty and lacked proper upkeep. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

Title: Unexpectedly Poor Customer Service at L.A. FitnessAs a loyal member of L.A. Fitness for over a decade, I never expected to find myself in the situation I encountered on August 3, 2023. An issue with the gym's mobile app caused an unpleasant and shocking experience that deeply sours my view of the establishment.On arriving at the gym around 5:45 pm, I noticed my L.A. Fitness app was stuck reloading. I approached the operating manager, Laysia, thinking she would simply ask for my phone number to manually check me in. Instead, I was met with condescension and an unimaginable threat of calling the police for trespassing if I dared to enter the gym.Her dismissive and debasing attitude provoked an admittedly inappropriate reaction from me. However, the gravity of her initial threat still stands. When I shared my dissatisfaction with another manager, Maurice Ruffin, he unapologetically echoed her sentiments and told me to leave.This disheartening experience is a stark reminder that no matter how long one's loyalty to an establishment, one disrespectful incident can tarnish it all. I urge L.A. Fitness to rectify this issue, as this type of customer service is unacceptable, damaging, and certainly not conducive to a welcoming gym environment.

Was kicked out of the room with heavy bags because of the Zumba class even though I was assured I'd be able to use the equipment whenever I want. The General Manager is present but won't issue the refund so I have to try and leave work early to cancel the membership I just signed up for two days ago because I can't use the equipment I just paid $49.99 x 3 for. Very disappointed.Update: I'm OK now. I've found somewhere else to box. Staff is friendly. Wish the wipes would stay stocked. Overall good gym.

This threat, in my view, was unjust and extreme, which resulted in my negative reaction. When I approached another manager, Maurice Ruffin, for resolution, I was again dismissed and asked to leave. This unfortunate incident has significantly tarnished my view of L.A. Fitness, and I believe their management should address such customer service issues to maintain their members' loyalty.

Decided to try out this location with a trial. I couldn’t even finish it. This location has so much potential, but it’s poorly maintained. I came here at around 5am when they just opened. Many of the dumbbells were missing. The restrooms were filthy, as though they were not cleaned regularly (saw blue, dried up toothpaste in one of the sinks - yuck). The equipment is also outdated and upgrades are definitely needed. I won’t be returning.

Used a 3 day pass to test out LA Fitness while I was in town for work and looking for a gym while traveling. Immediately on entering, the front desk staff was quick to be attentive, and the next employee I talked with to activate my pass was very helpful, not pushy, and great to talk to.Gym was incredibly clean, neat, and organized. Plenty of good equipment, and was able to get on every piece of equipment I need while I was there with no real wait, and everything was clean and functional.Great staff, great gym, clean and functional. Will be back when I'm in town.

It's really frustrating every day to come to this institute and see the Men's area (locker rooms) so dirty. So frustrating to come to such a polluted gym every day. Must make a change as soon as possible and bring a cleaner to men area services regularly. It was also much smarter to install automatic Standing toilets so that you would not have to press a button to flush the water. That way there will be less smell and bacteria. think about it.

Very poor maintenance, there are more then 5 important useful machines “Out Of Service” for more then three weeks. Its so frustrating and always seems like you come to work out in a neglected gym. Today I decided to leave a review after this is happening consistently for long time.

Really nice gym! Large, clean, and spacious. Friendly staff! Great atmosphere and that spin class is insane!!! Big pool and tons of equipment.I’d say YES to this place if I were you.
