I've been to a few classes and from what i can tell Sifu Jonathan knows what he's teaching.Very knowledgeable and hands-on so its easy to learn.

Wing chun has always been a martial art that i always wanted to learn..when i started going to this school immediately i felt welcomed like i was part of a family..sifu john is a very patient and well rounded individual. Im glad and honored to be his student. For those of you out that are wanting to learn the wing chun martial art i would recommend this school highly....:)

My 4 year old daughter has been taking panda classes with Sifu Jon since November. She is having an amazing experience. Sifu is excellent and very patient with the children. The panda class offers offers discipline, focus, motivation and positive reinforcement. Thanks to class, we've been using some of the focus and positive reinforcement skills at home in Bella's school work. I highly recommend BWC to anyone interested in learning the art. Your children will have a great time with a positive role model.

This is an amazing class to attend regardless of expertise level. Sifu Jon is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor that provides the best examples, analogies, and metaphors during demonstrations. I am truly happy to be a part of such a great program. I urge anyone that is curious about Wing Chun, Kung Fu, or self defense to come out and try it out - you will not regret it!

Finding a good martial arts instructor isn't always easy. Finding someone that is both the real deal, and also is not scamming you for money at every turn is hard. Sifu Jonathan has shown that not only are there no hidden fees (like test fees, etc) but he is completely legitimate, and he can back it up. He also never teaches without a reason behind a movement or technique. Some places just say 'this is what you do' Jonathan says 'this is WHY it works.' Come experience it for yourself. The class is friendly and accessible. Also great kids classes available!

I've been attending Sifu Jonathan's Bakersfield Wing Chun classes for about 8 months now. Every class I feel he dedicates a lot of time and effort to ensuring that I learn the foundations of Wing Chun. Great teacher for a great price, he ensures that all questions are answered and explained thoroughly. Lots of very convenient session times to work with my busy schedule as well. After attending his classes, its apparent that he studies the science of hand to hand combat and why it works instead of flashy gimmicks. Wing Chun in itself is a difficult art to master, but Sifu Jonathan breaks each movement down to an approachable, but effective learning style. 10/10 would recommend.
