FitZone Bakersfield offers a unique and supportive environment for women to focus on their fitness goals. Located at 5329 Truxtun Ave, the gym prioritizes a friendly atmosphere where instructors and members create a sense of community. Classes aim to keep you healthy, happy, and comfortable. Despite being a small gym, it has all the necessary equipment and knowledgeable staff that genuinely cares.
However, the gym has some downsides. The shared pool with therapy classes and restricted use of certain amenities like the sauna, A/C, and InBody watch can be frustrating. The gym's operational hours, particularly on weekends, may not fit everyone's schedule.

Been going to this gym it was really nice place to go to at first after this last month I was told I couldn't use the swimming pool because it was only for the people who use it for physical therapy then got told I couldn't use the water falter that is also on thephysical therapy side also can't use inbody watch is also on the physical therapy side as well because owner has a lock on the door when the A/C is on it drops though and it brings mosquitoes that like to bite you she also put in a camera to make sure we where not using anything we are not supposed to instead of fixing the machinery you also can't use the sauna is only in the women locker room even the woman can't use the sauna because owner says it is a fire hazard most saunas have a timers on them but that one doesn't

Amazing place for women to work out. Everyone is helpful, informative, educated, supportive and willing to go the extra mile. I love all the members and staff to pieces. All the equipment is clean and works well, and when it is broken, they're fixed in a timely manner.

I love total woman fitzone! I haven't been able to have the honor to go since moving but if I could that would be where I work out!The negative reviews are the opinions of people who would fit in better at huge corporations. This gym is small and locally owned. The hours get cut because members don't show up during those hours. I personally used to work there and can tell you truthfully that there's reasons behind the fees and changes to the gym. There's no use in keeping it open for one person who comes once a week at 8. That's a waste of money that could be going to fixing equipment. The clique feeling some people feel is something you find everywhere. They just feel it more because these woman are like a family since they have been working out together 3x a week for years. Now for why I love it here:The instructors are helpful, the members are willing to step up and help with making. Sure your not uncomfortable in classes, and they focus on being healthy and happy and not just fit. I never once felt embarrassed during classes or working out like I do at every other gym I go to

I find noses way up in the air, possibly why this gym hasnt grown in 20+ years and occupies such a small space comparing to others... guess my profession in the medical field keeps me grounded. I walked out before my first step class started which suprises me, but let their click continue...WOW, so rude..first day, oh last day..thank goodness it was 20 bucks for a 16 day pass.

Don't like it at all. The hours are inconvenient. Especially on weekend. I got the one year membership mostly because of the pool. But didn't know that the gym shares the pool with a therapy class. The therapy classes for men and women are Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 p.m.. They charge way too much a month for a small gym. I filled 2 times the cancellation paper and I still got charged. This gym membership is not worth it. Don't waste your time and money on here.
