LA Fitness at Baldwin Park offers a spacious and clean facility with a variety of modern equipment. The gym features friendly staff and a positive atmosphere. However, it lacks a sauna, and cancellation issues persist. Peak hours can also make it difficult to get to machines. Despite these setbacks, the gym remains a solid option for fitness enthusiasts looking for a comprehensive workout environment.

The gym provides ample parking and even has self-pay charging stations. It includes a swimming pool and dedicated personal training rooms. While maintenance can be slow, the overall cleanliness and amenities make it a worthwhile consideration.

Pros:

  • Friendly and welcoming staff
  • Very clean facilities
  • Modern and well-maintained equipment
  • Spacious with a positive atmosphere
  • Swimming pool available
  • Ample parking with charging stations
  • Good variety of cardio and strength training equipment
  • Personal training rooms with dedicated equipment
  • Easy joining process
  • Good lighting and sanitation supplies

Cons:

  • Cumbersome cancellation process
  • Peak hours can be very crowded
  • Slow maintenance response for repairs

Very nice facility. It's big, clean, and doesn't smell of a gym. Best yet, there is swimming pool inside, what?? 👍🏾👍🏾 …

This is one of the better LA fitness gyms. People that complain about no soap, or lack of new filters in drinking fountains are probably no very familiar with LA Fitness or Gyms altogether at this pay level. Usually if you want more amenities you need to pay for a more upscale gym. The men's showers have curtains, pool water is clean, gym equipment is usually where it should be, just be mindful of the time you visit peak hours can be hectic at any gym. Staff is friendly and greet you with a smile.

Went in the evening, super packed not the gyms fault but personally prefer an empty gym

Nice Gym but takes forever to fix equipment/ facilities. Took months to fix a bench, a year to fix a water fountain and WiFi hasn't worked in monthsEdit: A week after posting this review the WiFi works again. Was it because of the review? Maybe, maybe not. Still took way too long to fix.

One of the newer LA Fitness so it is cleaner than most. Doesn't have a sauna, and only 4 squat racks. The gym gets packed during peak hours, so you might have to wait a bit during leg day.

They have all the workout equipment you need, and it's clean from what I can tell.

Good gym terrible cancellation process. I originally had been paying 32.99 for my membership. After some time I wanted to upgrade my membership, I talked to Alex the manager. Great guy, helped me upgrade so I would pay more but be able to bring in guests at 49.99. After a few months I noticed I hadn't been going too much and wanted to cancel my membership. The cancellation is semi-difficult, all you have to do is go into any club and mention how you want to cancel. There should just be an option to cancel online to avoid having to go in. You could mail a letter, which would take days on end. I eventually cancelled my membership and thought the entire thing was over. Fast forward 2 months and I noticed I was charged 32.99 still my credit card. When I say I want to cancel my membership, I want to cancel my membership. Not go down to my previous plan, Contacted their customer support and HOPEFULLY now I won't be getting charged. Overall good gym but tedious process when it comes to canceling your membership.

So I joined this gym very easily but what they fail to tell you is that Alex that manager of the gym is the only one that can cancel your subscription. If he’s not there then you can’t, you can only mail in a request. I came in on Monday he’s not there okay I come in on Wednesday he’s on lunch.. so every time I'm there he is not available. I think it’s a little weird that he’s never there. I just want to cancel my subscription.
