Excellent gym and owned by a guy who genuinely cares about the fitness of his members! I commute from several hours away to visit my girlfriend, so a regular membership didn't work for me. Matt has been extremely flexible and is always interested in getting us the membership that makes the most sense for us.Class hours are great and there is a 24-hour access option.

Great culture; everyone is so friendly. More importantly, Matt, the owner of the gym, is a super amazing kind positive coach!

I loved this box!!! I was out in Baltimore for a few interviews and was already scoping out where I want to join when/if I relocate. This box was soooo friendly and such a great space. I am excited knowing that I already found my Crossfit home in Baltimore. You will not be disappointed by the facility, equipment, coaching and community. I highly recommend checking it out!

Dropped in to the new Clipper City CrossFit facility today and had a great workout - the staff and members were extremely friendly and inviting. The workout was challenging but accessible. A great spot for people of all fitness levels to have fun and get in shape!

Great gym. Great people. Great location. This gym is a diamond in the rough. It's located in a converted basement of the historic clipper mill, offering a unique entrance to what, I came find, was ample space for virtually any fitness activity I could think of.I've been an athlete for a large part of my life and the workouts here incorporate equal parts learning, fun, and intensity. I'm always greeted with enthusiasm, end up identifying something to improve my technique, and most importantly find a place where I feel comfortable and end up leaving with a smile. At the end of the day, picking a gym isn't rocket surgery, but surrounding yourself with a good group of supportive people is going to give you that sticking factor- giving you the leg-up you need to achieve your fitness goals, no matter how outlandish or modest they might be.Plain and simple- I couldn't go to another gym and find a more sincere, happy, and helpful group of people who create a community that's welcoming to all ages and experience levels.

A wonderful box filled with wonderful people. Although Clipper City does a fantastic job of educating you about crossfit and helping you achieve your own personal exercise goals, the owner Matt Ropke has done an even better job crafting a work-out environment that is both friendly and welcoming. There is always ample instruction on every movement we do and a continuing education as the weighs get heavier. There is a legitimate sense of community amongst the members of this gym; they are hard-working, nice and encourage others to become a part of this place. They are a reflection of the owner and the general vibe that he specifically creates. Of all the crossfit gyms in the area, I feel that Clipper City Crossfit excels where other boxes struggle and is a wonderful place to call home.

I signed up at Clipper City Crossfit about 7 months ago. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The coaches are very knowledgable and give helpful one-on-one advice to make sure your form is good so you're getting the most of your time at the gym. Clipper City Crossfit is located blocks away from The Avenue in Hampden with easy access to 83. It's in the lower level of the Mill Centre (plenty of parking - there's a parking lot next to the building). On the interior, there is a ton of space, plenty of equipment, and good tunes playing. There's a good sense of community with the people there too. Everyone is really supportive and will even cheer you on to help get you to the end of the daily workout. Also, CCC has special mobility training classes and monthly swim workouts at a nearby pool. Signing up at CCC was one of the best decisions I've made in a while!

I can't say enough about Clipper City. I walked in for my first class at 6 AM in March 2014 and was welcomed with lots of friendly smiles and shouts of encouragement. The trainers at CCC are incredibly knowledgable, but even more than that, every single one of them care about each person in a class to dedicate whatever time is need - whether it be on how to scale down a movement or to discuss proper technique. I not only saw a phenomenal jump in my strength, I gained great friends. You just don't find that everywhere.

Been training at Clipper City for about eight months. I hope to continue for a very long time, and here's why:The coaches are friendly, motivating, and knowledgeable. The ratio of coaches to crossfitters is high, so there's always someone in your corner backing you up and making sure you're using correct form.Folks from all walks of life are welcome, regardless of body shape, fitness level, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, dietary habits, etc.If you put in the effort, the regimen will produce results - your body will look and feel faster, stronger, leaner, and more stable. I can see the changes in my teammates, and I barely recognize myself in the mirror (I have the before-and-after photos to prove it). Sit-ups and stair steppers are for the birds. The workouts are challenging, short, and best of all, they’re fun as heck. Crossfit is the closest thing to a real-world video game: jumping over stuff, climbing ropes, and picking up heavy things, all while trying to beat your previous high score. Don't worry if you're not in shape - everyone works at their own pace. You're only competing against yourself. The best part about his place? The people. Yup. It’s true what they say - nothing makes fast friends like doing burpees and squat cleans together. Clipper City’s crossfitters are a bunch of genuinely good-hearted and fun-loving folks
