This is my third time at earth treks and I’ve enjoyed myself tremendously. So many climbs to choose from and no loose rocks. Very friendly and encouraging staff. I love it there.

Great place to climb! They have a variety of walls and a huge selection of difficulties. The prices are a bit steep ($22 for day pass, $11 for rental gear) but you get what you pay for. I have not been going there long enough to say how often they change the routes, but so far I have spent 6 hours there and have stayed challenged and entertained.

This is where I first learned to climb! The staff are very friendly and don't make you feel silly for not knowing anything about knots! I did both indoor and outdoor classes, and each class felt like I was getting personal attention. This location can get pretty crowded, but my climbing partner and I found times in our schedules when there was almost no one there (late night on week days!). With a membership, you also have access to all sorts of cool classes like yoga and climb technique, as well as the gym. Totally worth it!

Good place for beginners and experienced climbers. You can pay to take beginners courses to learn the basics of climbing, as well as a belaying/leading class. Anyone is allowed to climb (I've seen children as young as three on walls) but you must take the belaying class to belay for someone. A worker there can belay for you if you want. They also have a small gym if you don't want to climb.

Amazing rock climbing gym. The routes are amazing, they have bouldering leading and top-roping. They also have a gym which is amazing. The staff likes to get to know and is an amazing cast of people. I definitely reccomend this gym. I have taken multiple classes here and they are all amazing, helpful and fun.

Earth Treks is an absolutely awesome place to climb and exercise. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the routes change at a good pace, and they offer a variety of workshops and clinics to build your experience. I've been a member for years, and I am continually pleased to be a member of their gym and community. They've helped transform me into an avid climber, though my skills will forever need additional growth and fine tuning. They've got a small gym area and a location upstairs with hang and systems boards. If you want to change up your workout routine, or get into climbing, I highly recommend coming here as your climbing mecca.

I've been coming here for a while and I find the place to be very friendly. It gets crowded at times but you learn when to avoid the rushes.Just from climbing and being here I've made friends. People that work here are very dedicated and run a tight ship but are not short on great customer service. Anyone can answer a question you have and are very approachable. It's also nice when you leave they make sure to say see you later.Great gym and has pretty good facilities that focus on rock climbing but very much so worth it. Everyone here is there to have a good time and better themselves. Free member clinics are the best feature by far for beginners to rock climbing that range from standard workouts to intro climbing courses.

Earth Treks Timonium is one of the best climbing gyms I have been to in this country. I am on the climbing team, but even when I go in during the summer I find new people to climb with. I find that the equipment is always regularly checked and staff walks around to make sure everyone is safely climbing and belaying. ALL of the staff climbs, which is hard to get. They are also very nice, so I would get to know them. They can tell you about cool outdoor programs to try and what equipment to buy. Yes, it is a little expensive, but no more expensive than other gyms I have been to. The padding on the floor is really nice compared to the rocks that I had to walk on in another gym. Also, the routes are changed on a regular basis so there are always new climbs to try. I like that it is a family friendly environment because then little kids can come and hang out or climb. The number of classes and programs is remarkable and they are always well planned with enthusiastic staff. Earth Treks Timonium, you are doing a great job! (but we should get the really nice blue yoga mats haha)
