Wonderful experience! I'm going to take up lessons with one of the instructors, Sarah, in the fall. Pretty wonderful lady! Her and Andrew, the owner, shared their snacks with my little one as we watched my family shoot. They both spent time talking with me and educating me on my million questions that I had. I truly felt like I was with family. Mind you, it was very slow with only one or two other people in the range, so I had them all to myself. The time spent being educated by Andrew was pretty great. What he does for the community is much more than own a store. He dedicates his time to helping law enforcement, teachers, and others learn how to defend themselves.I will continue to patronize here because of the person Andrew is and what he believes in. He is worth supporting.

I cannot say enough about the guys at black butte. I took my 1911 that admittedly wasn't in the best shape in for service. It was a gift from a friend that has since passed. I was given no judgment whatsoever. Both the gentlemen were wonderful. Jerome treated my firearm with deft hands and the utmost respect. I actually decided to purchase a micro compact while i was there. Jerome vets all the firearms in the shop and is extremally knowledgeable and passionate about firearms and our 2a rights. Spoke to me with respect and dignity. I learned an exceptional amount from him while waiting for the alphabet crew to get back to him. They have earned a lifelong customer. I cant wait to go and pick up my firearm and very soon take some of his classes. Thank you again. Exemplary service!!!

This is a great place to visit! The staff are friendly and very helpful! The range is very well maintained, clean and well lit! It’s a must when in Billings!

The guy who was running the register 10/28/22 is an absolute a$$. Zero customer service. Talks really fast and acts like he's taking a fast food order. Not sure what his deal is but the worst pi$$ poor attitude and no friendliness at all. This is only the second time I've been there and I'll not be going back as this is the second time I've delt with this tool.

Well To Start I Normally just use them for Transfers Because they are the Best at It. Quick Simple No Headache No Standing around Waiting for 45 minutes while some guy You Don't Know is Playing With your new Firearm. Now Jerome Hall That guy is Super Helpful, Knowledgeable Makes the Whole Process Easy and He Treats you and your Firearm With respect whether its a Transfer Or you're at The Range Jerome's Your Guy For Quality service.

Took the Concealed Carry Lifestyles course. "JD" our instructor was great. The info covered as really good and the class flew by. I expected it to be boring like another conceal carry class I took a while back, but it was actually informative while being fun. The class group was very interactive and engaged. JD took the time to answer all our questions and had some great tips that helped improve my shooting while we were on the range. Feel much more equipped to move forward and am excited to take all the classes they offer.

Hats off to the wonderful people at Black Butte. I had a difficult situation with a gun that had alot of sentimental value to me. They were kind, patient and overwhelmingly helpful to me and my situation. I cannot thank you guys enough for your hard work and care towards my project. Great Little indoor range, safe, clean and well lit. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful. I have really enjoyed taking my 12yr old son there to learn to shoot his first .22 Rifle. I go there to stay in practice and keep sharp. Prices are reasonable and they have a large selection of firearms for sale and to rent while youre a tthe range. Great way to try a new gun before you buy it.

Late last week we took my best friend here to have some fun before he got married. We had a blast. We were able to rent and shoot a variety of awesome firearms. The owner asked us, "how much fun do you want to have?" And boy did we have fun. Safety was top notch. Instructions were clear. Prices were very reasonable. We'd go back again.
