Good Vibes Hot Yoga, located at 3860 Avenue B Suite B, Billings, MT, offers a refreshing yoga experience. The studio, formerly Sumits Hot Yoga and Solace Hot Yoga, has a welcoming atmosphere and highly skilled instructors. Classes suit various schedules, allowing flexibility for attendees. The studio is clean, the staff is friendly, and the sessions provide a balanced mix of challenge and zen, making it appealing to both beginners and experienced practitioners. However, the uniformity of the classes and strict adherence to the script may not suit everyone.
While most reviews praise the environment and staff, some mentioned the rigid format and lack of creativity in teaching. The studio emphasizes following a structured class script and discourages leaving the room during sessions. This model, although beneficial for some, might not cater to those looking for a more dynamic and personalized yoga experience.

This studio is a nice place to experience a great sweat session. The classes are offered frequently which I appreciate. Anyone with any type of schedule can find a class whether it's first thing in the morning before the sun is up or the last thing you do before bed. With that said, I was very disappointed that every class is identical. The poses are exactly the same, the script the teacher says is word-for-word the same. One of the reasons I love yoga is that each teacher will say things differently, emphasize and cue you in his/her unique way and put together an exciting new flow you've maybe never done before. All of that does not exist here. The teachers are not able to be creative or use their own style of language (which I am sure they want to do. You can tell they're tired of saying the same thing over and over and there is no passion in some of their voices. I can't blame them. I would also be bored. There's no difference between having a teacher and pressing play on a pre-recorded audio file.) The other amazing thing about having a teacher is the ability to have someone correct your form (if you consent to it) and that is also not something you'll find here. Lastly a good teacher dynamically responds to the class in front of her, allowing for more or less time in specific places as she sees fit. Not possible here. The other thing I was a bit shocked to hear was that there is a lot of pressure placed on staying within the room. You're discouraged from exiting the room at all during a class (I understand why, but truly, there's a better way to say it kindly) and part of the script of the class is that all poses are done together, meaning that there is a set pace which many people feel pressured to keep up with. That's totally unnecessary as you can spend as much time as you need to in any pose or skip them altogether. Most studios emphasize this heavily. Fine for me as I've been doing hot yoga for 20 years and feel very comfortable listening to my body, opting out etc, but this is probably not the best way to welcome your new clients. For some, this one-size-fits-all approach is fine. But for me, if I am going to pay $150/month for a yoga membership, you can bet I am going to expect something exciting, new, challenging, and I am going to expect the instructors to do more than read from a script.

Just completed my first class at Good Vibes.(previously Sumits Hot Yoga and Solace Hot Yoga) The refresh is welcomed and the atmosphere is a 10. Lori taught a great practice and I am anxious to go back for more classes.

I’m new to yoga, but being an ex-athlete I wish I would have know about it earlier. The studio is very clean and the staff is welcoming. I felt refreshed, strong, and ready for the day. It was challenging but doable.
