Dropped by to roll for the holidays, incredibly high quality facility and everyone I met was friendly and encouraging.

I’m not even a member here and Samuel and Russell treat me like family. I come in town for work and they welcome me with open arms. Great people and very talented grapplers.

I have been going to train there on and off for over 3 years.The one thing I love about this team is that they welcome you back everytime.When you walk thru the doors it honestly seems like you never left. I'm back home and now I plan on going full time. These instructors strive to make you feel at home, a better person, and most importantly do what you love to do in a stress free atmosphere.

I've trained at this gym a handful of times. I also use to cut the grass at this gym. However, my name was used by samuel and his family to arrange a marriage for his nephews legalization. I was blown away by such accusations that I called samuel to get to the bottom of it. Instead of samuel admitting to him using my name in an illegal manner, he used vulgar language and hung up on me. He then calls my dad to "get control of me" for standing up for myself. That's what he trains ppl to do, stand up for themselves, show respect, and be our best. With this being something he trained on, I thought he could have a mature conversation. I also expected an apology. I've never met anyone in Samuel's family so I knew that the information was coming from him. Samuel calls my dad, who has tried with him for years, and tells him he cant go to the gym anymore bc of me calling samuel out for illegal accusations. My dad remodeled Samuel's old gym and did a ton of work in the new gym for a lifetime membership. Now that membership is gone along with all respect I had for samuel. He later admitted to my brother that he and his wife did in fact discuss my name in this manner. He has not called to apologize but he has made threats to my dad bc all he cares about is his reputation. I just so happen to care about my reputation and my family also. I want everyone to be careful around this man bc hes not who he claims to be. I'm not saying he isnt a good trainer but there's more to being a leader than training physically. Women need to be careful especially bc I'd never want them to convince someone to do anything illegal. The last thing samuel said is he was getting a lawyer so I got me a lawyer and all the proof anyone needs to know the truth. He thought an apology was too much to ask for. I never did anything to deserve this.

Samuel is an exemplary teacher, fighter, and person! I highly recommend this place for both people confident in their skills and people terrified of the idea of BJJ! The community Samuel has built is top notch.

Samuel Puccio and Dj Wright and all of his students were very welcoming. I highly recommend this school for anyone who is looking for good training. Puccio was very attentive and friendly. Dj's instruction was phenomenal.

I'm a BJJ blackbelt and have known and trained under Samuel for years hes always been very professional and as far as instruction goes he is world class!

Everyone is so nice and helpful. The kickboxing classes are awesome. It is a lovely place to train.

I was passing through Birmingham and dropped in for a class with Samuel and his students. Everyone was real friendly, the facility was clean and the rolls were great. If you are passing through or thinking about taking up BJJ full time and live in the area, make sure you do it here!

I trained here for 4 months when I lived in Birmingham for work. This is hands down the best gym I have trained at, Samuel is incredibly knowledgable and there are multiple black belts that attend the gym. They have beginner classes and no-gi classes as well. Everyone is very friendly and a joy to train with.
