Best climbing gym in the NY Metro area. Friendly staff. Brilliant climbs of all levels, even their easy stuff is very interesting. If you like climbing, its a worth a visit.

My family and I did a personal belay with Shannon on Thursday. We had a lot of fun and Shannon was fantastic. She was full of a lot of information, her instructions were great, and she was very encouraging. That was our first time climbing and because of our experience we will definitely be climbing again at RCF! Thanks again to Shannon and the rest of the staff.

I honestly cannot recommend RCF enough! Great facilities, nice staff. I am a student and I am only in the area maybe 2 months out of the whole year. RCF accommodates this very well since they offer prepaid one month memberships and give student discounts.

Great gym with a huge selection of routes. They have features, crack climbs, large lead climbing section and a good sized bouldering wall. Nice workout equipment, better than most climbing gyms I've been to.

The staff are all awesome and GREAT with my daughter who does the after school program once in a while as well as the vacation camps. We became members, the climbing is great/challenging and according to my brother, who climbs a lot, "blows other gyms completely out of the water" In addition the have yoga classes and a full gym for some x-training. We're there at least once every weekend.

Great to see this gym under new ownership and moving in a great direction. Staff seems awesome and facilities are improving. Routes could still use some work (ie footchips). Hopefully on the list are some quality hold purchases over the long run. . . The original owner bought 100s of the cheapest holds he could find and they leave a lot to be desired for the veteran climber. Would be cool to see them sell off the junk and slowly get more new holds and focus on higher density of routes on their walls (maybe switch to taping all routes).Go Vertical used to have a huge climbing community supporting it... would be cool to see that sort of thing grow around this gym now that the old owner and manager are gone.

Awesome experiece and a healthy way to spend your time. Not as easy as i thought it would be considering i go to the gym 5 times a week, engages muscles you hardly ever use. Also not a bad price to have a lot of fun.

The staff seemed friendly enough to me, and the facility was good. I just bouldered for a while, and there were plenty of routes to try. The top rope/lead climbs looked interesting, too!

Great Facility. The best I have seen on east coast. I live in NYC so i climb brooklyn boulders, chelsie piers, new rochelle gym and a bunch in nj. The fairfield carabiner's gym has the best lead section, very diverse and lots of routes. Decent bouldering sections (should be much improved summer 2012 with expansion) and probably 100 of top roping sections.I am primary a lead so this gym is perfect for me. The staff is awesome. The vibe in the gym is very positive and healthy. Love this place! They have some crack climbing (i have not seen this in any gyms before) great for real deal trad climbing! You name it they got! Route setting is also sick, very diverse and stuff gets changed up at a good pace. Unlike Chelsie Piers once a year...

Great location, good facilities, very cold over winter (saving on heat?) dusty as hell, if you have allergies, definitely skip it. Management is horrible, Alicia the manager (not a climber) makes all efforts to ensure her insurance guidelines are met, which is OK if her blunt rudeness wouldn't kill the whole climbing experience. My opinion? Look for someplace else where the climbing experience is number one goal, from climbers to climbers.
