Long-time member. Disappointing conditions. Tread-mills are unsafe and any given day 1/3 are down waiting on maintenance.. others deemed “useable” have control issues and slipping belts. Extremely old units and nothing like have seen at other LA locations..Have notified front desk numerous times..beyond disappointing, unsafe. Cleanliness issues, and why did the hand sanitizers get removed, besides they often were not refilled? Been to others, needs help!

Members everywhere sitting on the equipment on their phones doing social media (equipment hogs) and not using the equipment. Ask them to work in and 80% say no. This club has zero rules for using the equipment. LA Fitness is out of control.

This club is filthy!! The mirrors in the classrooms are streaked and dirty with visible handprints on them everywhere. I set my towel next to my mat on the floor, and when I picked it up at the end of class after not using it at all, it looked as though it had been run over. It was filthy from simply sitting on the floor! The locker rooms and bathrooms are disgusting and smell terrible. Today however was the last straw… a staff member approached my husband and accused him of stealing attachment weights and stated that someone reported seeing them in his workout bag (which was sitting right next to my husband) My husband explained that he had been bringing these same weights with him for the past year and they were a gift from his wife. (I have the receipt). The staff member simply stared at him and no matter what my husband said to try and help him understand that he did not steal their weights, he continually repeated “we have been missing these weights for 2weeks”. This was offensive and humiliating! I’ve been a member since 2013 but am terminating my membership immediately.

There are some serious hygiene issues here. They do not enforce cleaning the machines after use at all. Also lots of the machines sit broken for weeks or months. Seriously considering moving my membership elsewhere.

I've been going to this gym for over a decade now and used to enjoy it, but the deferred maintenance has been building up big time lately. They spent probably over $100K renovating the gym with new paint, carpet, etc. last year, but now frequently used machines sit inoperable with "scheduled for service" signs on them for months. Just recently, BOTH cable crossover machines, probably the most popular weight lifting stations, have been broken for weeks with no signs of being repaired anytime soon. Unacceptable. I will be looking for another gym that has a pool as well, if anyone has any recommendations let me know.

Going downhill since the remodel. As of yesterday, 3 of the 8 cable stations are out of order. Not sure if they overextended on the remodel and can’t afford to fix stuff? Several of the machines, particularly the lay down leg curl machine, have cushions that are worn to the point of exposed foam.99% of the people that work out here keep to themselves, but there are a handful who need to mind their own business. If I’m mid set with earbuds in, I don’t want someone interrupting me asking if I “want to get twice as much” out of what I’m doing. I want to listen to my audiobook and not be bothered.

It's a pretty good place to work out. It does get busy during peak hours after work, and there's usually a handful of machines that need serviced. There's a lot of space, and the equipment that does work is good. I highly recommend Austin for personal training.

I wanted to wait a full 3 months before writing a review. I think it’s important to have a full perspective before posting these things. It’s an alright club. Sales staff are hit and miss but that’s just the job. The gym is clean for the most part. The machines are out dated. Most of the cable machines are broken or out of service. Seems it takes 2-3 weeks before they are fixed. Treadmills definitely have seen their last days.I am curious as to how this would be the standard of an LA fitness in Carmel. The parking lot is an absolute disaster. Pot holes everywhere. The High schoolers are obnoxious and in full force by 5-6pm.I’ve been going to this gym 5-6days a weeks since January. A lot of good people go to this gym. I will be making the switch to Crunch gym once they open. I believe that $30 a month will be better spent there.

The good: club is decent - has plenty of equipment and love that they have racquetball courts and a semi-heated lap pool. Long-time member and will continue going. The bad: some members are there to play dress up and even had to deal with a couple making out in the pool one night. Can't blame the club for stupid people but wish they would have put a stop to the nonsense. Couple other notes: they recently advertised upgrades in their clubs This location was not one of them. Treadmills specifically have seen their day and I run elsewhere because of it. Hard to understand how this is being ignored. Additionally, they closed one of their clubs in Keystone Ave without sufficient (if any) communication. A lot of people upset who had just purchased memberships with intent of using that as their main club.

My favorite LA fitness gyms. I moved out of state, I miss going to this location. Newly remodeled. Great staff. Tyson, Drew. A special shout out to Jesse, one of the best trainers I know. 😊 Great equipment, this is one of my favorites. Great for stretching hamstrings really beneficial to me. …
