Phenomenal kids classes. The coaches at this gym are great with kids. They take almost an academic approach to their instructions. Their classes feel like an extension of their academic journey. Class sizes are adequate but not too full. Your kid will have no problem finding a partner of their size and skill level. It has a very warm family vibe and even the parents who observe are very friendly. I tell anyone who will listen about this place and look forward to all that will be learned.

I've trained at several schools over my years of BJJ, but none even come close to Van Buren Jiu Jitsu. The level of instruction from Coach Jonathan and the others has improved my skills in ways I never experienced before, and the structure ensures the techniques stick with you.On top of that, the incredibly friendly and welcoming environment helped to foster a passion and love for jiu jitsu I had always searched for. Suffice to say, this is a home away from home for me. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to train here.

Thank you Jonathan and Angelica!My husband and I were in town visiting family from California and we wanted to find a welcoming gym that would allow us to cross train while on vacation. We found exactly what we were looking for at Van Buren Jiu Jitsu! The atmosphere was great to go along with some awesome rolls! We attended their Gi and No Gi classes and I attended Coach Angelicas Women's class on Sunday. I loved it! We will definitely stop by again the next time we visit Chandler.

Great school. Coach Jonathan and Coach Angelica are amazing instructors and are always willing to go out of their way to help. My kids and I started 6 months ago and have no plans on stopping. It will challenge you physically and mentally but it is so worth it.

When looking for a Jiu Jitsu place for our son we visited a few different studios. The second we walked into Van Buren Jiu Jitsu it felt like home. The owners Jonathan and Angelica are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We loved it so much our daughter joined too and begs to go every day! The level of knowledge my kids have gained continues to astonish me. I can’t recommend this place enough for the whole family!

We have had a great experience at VBJJ. My 7 year old has been training there for the past 2 years and they have invested so much time and care into helping him learn the essentials and grow. Coach Jonathan is an accomplished black belt who is able to break things down to teach newbies as well as help those with more experience hone and develop their skills. I recommend anyone who is looking to train themselves or to get their kids involved to check them out.
