Wicker Park Athletic Club offers a range of fitness services in a convenient Chicago location. Located at 1635 W Division St, it has a variety of up-to-date equipment and generally friendly staff. While the overall ambience is welcoming, many customers have raised concerns about limited hours, high costs, and unprofessional management practices. Despite its cleanliness and some quality classes, the gym has questionable contract and cancellation policies that potential members should be aware of. If convenience and equipment quality are top priorities, this gym may suit your needs.

However, if you value flexible hours and straightforward cancellation procedures, you may want to consider other options. The gym's practices concerning membership agreements and lack of timely communication have left several members frustrated. Being aware of these factors can help you make an informed decision before signing up.

Pros:

  • Convenient location.
  • Friendly and helpful staff.
  • Clean facilities.
  • High-quality equipment.
  • Good variety of classes.
  • Affordable pricing for some members.
  • Positive gym vibe.
  • Professional simulators.

Very disappointed at how Wicker Park Athletic is handling the global pandemic situation - I wrote to them during the summer, explaining that with an at-risk partner, I do not feel comfortable entering the facility and was told by someone at …

PLease note I thoroughly enjoyed the facilities but they are not trying to take advantage during Covid to not allow me to hold my membership. I sent a message to them on Nov 1st per the agreement to request a hold on my account. They …

My girlfriend and I have been members for years and we are completely satisfied with it. The yoga instructors are uniformly excellent as are the spin instructors. They lost a star from me only because they have inexplicably pared back spin …

CAC closed their Webster Place gym and provided less than 24 hours notice to members of closure. The closure obviously prompted me to request cancellation of my membership since Webster Place was the gym I visited and I still have to pay …

I'm moving to Chicago in the New Year and this gym is not friendly to letting people try out the gym like many of the other gyms in the area are. I got two sales aggressive emails pitching promotions before I even stepped in to check the …

I'm giving wicker park 4 stars because I came from the webster place gym that unexpectedly close. I really enjoyed Ariel yoga, the sauna/steam room and the overall space and amenities of webster place. Again, not a fault to wicker park. …

Decent neighborhood gym. Small and sometimes very crowded. Limited number of machines, benches, floor space means waiting. That said, the vibe isn't bad. Desk staff are friendly but anything more than signing in requires membership staff who work business hours.I wouldn't say it's great value for the money, but I love the convenience of it being in my neighborhood. It's also reasonably clean which I appreciate.

Nice layout and helpful staff. However, after going to other CAC locations it seems like this gym is a bit neglected. Crowding is insanely bad and gets worse every week. Lines to lift are long and the locker rooms horribly small. These …

I loved this club until I had to move to another state months before my membership contract was up. I knew I would have to pay out my contract, however when I called to cancel, I was "too early" (2 months ahead of time) and she "couldn't do …

I only visit this club occasionally as I primarily go to West loop location. This is probably my least favorite CAC location as it gets very crowded, and when it gets crowded the studio floors gets dirty. They do not wipe down the studio …
