Had a wonderful time dropping in to the box while traveling! Staff was very responsive and welcoming and the gym is stocked with any and all equipment I could want. Heartily recommend picking Windy City!

I highly recommend checking out Windy City Strength & Conditioning. It is by far the best gym I've been a part of. Not only are the coaching and programming top notch, but what really makes it for me is the community. I was met with openness and kindness from every single member and coach of the gym immediately upon joining. No matter your fitness level, Windy City will make you feel welcomed, accepted, and safe, and you know you're always going to get in a great workout.

I can’t say enough about Windy City! I’ve never done CrossFit before and it seemed intimidating at first. Once you sign up, they require two private lessons to ease you in and teach you proper techniques before your first class. The coaches are very aware of each persons abilities and will always have you go at your own pace and always challenge you. If you are looking for a positive change in your body and mind, Windy City is worth checking out.

I had previously done CrossFit style workouts at another gym but had been out of the game for about 5 years. I became friends with a current WCSC member and his enthusiasm for the place got me jonesing to give it a try. From the moment I walked into the gym for my intro workout I was hooked. The warehouse space has a certain aura to it that you feel more badass just being in there. My main concern based on prior experience was being able to do the workouts safely and feel like the coaches are looking out for me to do things properly rather than just push through the WODs at all costs. The staff at WCSC meet this with flying colors. They always provide alternate options or scaling, and they will stop you doing a workout if you’re doing a movement incorrectly or unsafely. They’re also great at getting everyone through proper warmup and stretching routines before the workout. The WCSC community as a whole is great as well. There’s a wide range in abilities, ages, and general goals but everyone is super friendly and supportive of each other. In summary this place is great and I only have positive things to share!

I was a drop in for a 8:30am class. I was greeted right away which was great they already had me registered for my class when I arrived. Their communication level was top tier. I expected a bit more direction of where to go for class because there were people working out almost everywhere so I just looked for a coach and a group of people. I really wanted to give them 5 stars but I just couldn't because as a drop in I expected more than just a metcon that lasted 18 or 20 min for the workout. I expected a strength portion as this is a strength and conditioning gym. I did get a t-shirt though and that was nice.

The level of coaching at this gym is what really sets it apart from anywhere else I've been. If you are looking to learn how to improve your technique in power lifting, Olympic lifting, or just general principles of strength and conditioning, this is where you will learn it.The coaching staff has gone beyond general education requirements and have taken classes from physios, CrossFit, Burgener Oly and weight-lifting classes etc. They invest in what's important.Of course the community and facility are also amazing, but the coaching is what I come for.

Windy City is an amazing gym! I was intimidated to join at first and didn't think I would be able to keep up with everyone else in the classes. But that nervousness went away after my first day thanks in part to the amazing coaches. They provide support, guidance on technique and motivate and encourage me to try my best. The community is also so fun and supportive. In the 8 months I've been a member, I've accomplished fitness goals that I never thought were possible and couldn't be happier with the results.

Windy City is my second home! I never thought I would say that about a gym, but it's been a long journey to get to a point of working out consistently.I joined back in 2019 through the 6-week challenge. My husband had been going for several months, and after a lot of convincing I decided to give Windy City a try. I was super intimidated since I've never done any real weight training, but the coaches broke down all of the core movements and made sure we all felt comfortable and safe before joining the group classes.Fast forward and we've been through virtual/at-home workouts through the lockdown last year, modified class sizes, masks, etc. but Windy City has handled it all with grace. They're incredibly communicative and are quick to adapt. I love the staff, community and the workouts!

I have been coming here for almost two years now. I had hesitations on cross fit in general, and being part of this community has made any of those hesitations disappear. The coaches here are professional and super friendly. They did amazing during covid in keeping members informed, providing home workouts, and ensuring everyone felt safe as things opened back up.Windy City welcomes all levels of athletes as well. Whether someone is an experienced athlete or has never been to a gym, they will fit it in at windy city and feel welcome.I feel lucky that this organization is part of our community and look forward to seeing it grow!

I’ve been a member at Windy City for 2 years and I’m a big fan. Having been at multiple other CrossFit gyms in Chicago, this has been my favorite. Programming is solid (I’m always improving), coaching is good and the staff/ownership is open to feedback. Plus the space is huge and there’s always enough equipment. Highly recommend.
