Crunch Fitness - Clifton

This location is horrible. Their customer service never gets back to you. There is always some extra charge or fee no matter what you do. I had a year contract and i waited the whole year to go cancel my membership to avoid fees and they informed me i still have to pay the cancelation fee because the new year starts a month before the new year. I haven’t even used the gym in 9 months and waited for no reason. Horrible service!

Gym by itself is nice and clean. Usually place is packed around 5-6pm. Variety of classes, Elizabeth is great! But… when it comes to cancelling your membership, horrible experience. Clearly says on your contract you have 10days prior your renewal date to cancel your membership and then surprise, it’s actually 30days. When you ask if they can show it to you where does it say that on your contract, forget about it - they can’t prove it, they just say that contract that you signed is Crunch “in general” contract, but each location has different rules, so basically doesn’t matter what you signed. After arguing with them for couple days, they knew that they don’t have any arguments, one of the girls at front desk said “oh maybe it doesn’t say in your contract, but that’s the first thing that we say to our customers” yeah right and customers will remember that after 1 year. Sick! Then since your contract is automatically renewed and it’s too late to cancel it, they want to charge you $89 cancellation fee. Crazy!!

My go to spot for about 5 years, hasn't disappointed yet. Has every machine I need, machines are maintained or fixed quicker than a lot of gyms I've been to. Very clean, shout out to the cleaning crew.

This place is fine on the surface, but don't try and get customer service. For three months I have been trying to switch my membership over and all they did was give me the run around and false information.Besides that, they will film workout classes without letting you know (who does that?) and tell you repeatedly to "see your way to the door" when they are about to close- as if there's not a more respectful way to ask us to leave. Other clubs tell you enjoy your day, we look forward to seeing you again- not here.Edited to add a star for the nice front desk staff. It's the stuff that they shouldn't have to handle that doesn't get addressed because no one seems to know how to handle it.

After relocating to NJ, my first experience at this location was pretty disappointing! I have the highest membership and yet they wanted to charge me $7 for a bottle of water. Not to mention, If I transfer, my membership fee will be higher which is pointless as they have less amenities than my old Crunch. Additionally, I supposedly have the “all exclusive” membership for any Crunch but the “all exclusive” amenities don’t apply to all locations! I would hope moving forward you guys would accommodate new comers better. This was not a welcoming experience at all!

I’ve been coming to this gym since it opened. I love it so much here. The staff is the best. They’re super friendly and super helpful, from Gibbs and Aaron to everyone else new or old.

Best gym I’ve experienced thus far! Aaron assisted in my sign on process; he was immensely professional and so kind. He set me up for my kickoff training with Maria who is the sweetest person I’ve met! The establishment is very clean and the staff is polite.

I should of listened to the bad reviews because the customer service is 100% frustrating. They sign you up without disclosing any of the hidden fees and expect you to pay for an annual fee even if you haven’t even been there for a single month. There is no corporate number to get in contact with and any number listed online is no longer in service. Once I realized the gym was too small and always overcrowded , your left with paying 75 annual fee and/or 85 dollar cancellation fee. Seriously don’t bother, find a better gym.

This is my favorite gym to go to. I reached all of my fitness goals here. I’m so happy I signed up at this particular Crunch. This place is awesome!!! Also major shoutouts to Kathy and Seth for always being so professional, you guys are great.

Honestly I love this gym. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and everyone is so friendly. I love the variety of classes my favorite is the Zumba. Definitely would recommend this gym
