Gracie Barra College Station

Stopped in while I was visiting town. Professor’s were kind and accepting of visitors. Class was well run with solid instruction. All student were good and technical rolls (which can not be said of other places I visited on my trip) overall I had my best drop in experience here and would recommend it to anyone looking for jiujitsu.

Really great place with a focus on careful, injury free application, and building a local BJJ community. They are fairly new school, so there are a lot of beginners, which definitely makes it less intimidating to join.

Great environment to learn BJJ as a complete beginner (like myself). Instructors are personable and helpful. Classes are crazy fun and a good workout. Would recommend 10/10 if you really want to get into BJJ.

Been coming here since the beginning, and it has been nothing but great experiences and learning ever since. The professor and coaches are very helpful and knowledgeable in the art of jiu jitsu. The students are very nice and inviting as I’ve made many friends here since I started. Highly recommend this school if you’re a beginner or even if you’ve have had some experience before.

Professor Milton, Amanda, and Daniel are professional, friendly, and the instruction is excellent at conveying the concepts of Jiu Jitsu. The other students are very friendly and welcoming as well. This is a great place to get involved in martial arts, especially if you're new to Jiu Jitsu.

Such a good atmosphere for learning! Professor Milton and the assistant coachs are all amazing. Both myself and my children attend classes and I could not be happier with the school. Out of the martial art schools we looked into and did trial classes at, this school is by far the best choice.

Professor Milton and coaches Amanda and Daniel are the BEST. The adult classes are amazing and if you have kids, their classes are hands down the best. They have brought the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the BCS area. If you are looking to get fit, learn an amazing art and become a part of an amazing family, stop by and say hello.

Gracie Barra College Station has been a great experience. Professor Milton and the staff have treated us like family. Our 4 and 5-year-old have been enjoying classes, and the atmosphere is great. As a member, the adult classes have been great, and a nice schedule with multiple classes a gives me a chance to fit in classes when I can.

Professor Milton Machado, instructor Amanda Sakaya, and Coach Daniel are passionate about teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and helping you along your journey, ultimately helping you to reach your goals. Even if your goal in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is to decompress from work, defend yourself from an attack, or eventually compete at a high level. I have trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for several years at gyms around the country. While most gyms have had a qualified instructor - Professor Milton is a fourth-degree black belt with over 20 years of experience - the environment in each gym has varied drastically. It is my opinion that the environment sets this gym apart. Everyone I have met at this gym has been friendly, supportive, and welcoming. To this end, I recommend you try this Jiu-Jitsu gym if you have a free afternoon. You will come for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but you will keep coming back because of the friends you made - at least that is why I keep going back.
