Every Y in this city including jet wing is tyrannical about rules with children. Whether it’s the gym or the pool, if a parent is RIGHT THERE the staff needs to back off. I was forced to take a life jacket off my infant in the pool and told that they know better what’s safe or not safe for my infant, when I was holding her the entire time. They treated me like I was going to throw her in the pool and leave her or something and made me take it off to hold her. They won’t let my 12 year old or 5 year old more than arms length away even with high quality floatation devices. Seriously? They have an amazing splash pad in the pool and it’s off 99% of the time because they refuse to move water aerobics classes to their lap pool, and insist on having it off during classes. Instead, make the children suffer and never get to use awesome facilities so elderly people can do aerobics, right? Especially when there’s an empty, wide-open pool right by it. Make sense - NOT. Don’t get me started on the stupid bracelet system. A child needs to basically pass a Military grade swim test to be allowed to go down a water slide. Are you kidding me? My child has been down 100+ water slides in her life with zero incident but will never go down a Y slide because she can’t tread deep water, and the slide is nowhere near super deep water. She can literally stand up in it where the slide ends. They need a slide-only test if they want to be the king of England about it. Parents are overruled constantly by teenagers. My kid has been pulled off gym equipment she has been trained by me to use and knows exactly what she’s doing and I’m right by her. I have never been to the pool without over-hearing other parents having the same conversations and complaints either with me or the parents around them. We are not alone. The last time I went, another mom told me after three days of membership and seeing the splash pad never open at the pool, she’s already wanting to cancel. I keep the membership for the drop in care and gym and can’t stand to take my kids to the pool or gym with me anymore. The lifeguard kids are so unprofessional and rude it’s unreal.

Sent our kids here for the first time this summer, and they have had nothing but complains and issues. The staff apparently allows the kids to be bullied, threatened, and treated with disrespect. My kids constantly came home crying. It seems like majority of the time it is a free for all, and the kids do nothing but color all day. I would not recommend this camp to anyone.

LOVE this gym! So many options and everyone is so friendly- Nathan at the front took his time to research and ensure I was aware of each option when discussing our membership package. The options are awesome but the customer service more than sweetens the deal! These guys are great!

The gym is fine, and it's not regularly very busy. It's well kept, and the employees do their best. The reason I'm giving it three stars is because they never update their darn schedule. I'm so tired of getting all the way to the gym to find out that the lap pool is closed for kids classes, lifeguard training, or whatever else is going on that day. I've had to turn around and go home three or four times now because there is nowhere to swim. The pool is small enough as it is, with only four lap lanes. They should absolutely notify people when it is going to be unavailable. It's ridiculous

We enjoy the YMCA and everything they offer but I was very disappointed to see how unprofessional the lifeguard on duty was. This was yesterday 6/19 after 4:00 at the jet wing location. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day but she seemed to be a little unhinged. It was concerning. She couldn’t control her emotions around the kids there. If we’re going to be working with families and children, especially around the water, I think it’s best for everyone’s safety to make sure we’re mature enough and in a good headspace… The yelling, screaming and crying was uncalled for. Madison (I’m not sure what her job title is) but she did very little to defuse the situation.

I never write reviews but this is a great place for swim lessons. The aquatics director Tom Leveson went above and beyond to help my son, personally getting in the water until he was comfortable enough to join his group swim lesson. Thanks Tom!

I've been to other Y's. The Southeast location has the nicest track. The Southeast location machines are organized in a way that the workout area is systematically arranged and uncongested. The staff is very nice and the group exercise classes have good, competent instructors who are good at the classes they teach.

This YMCA has a great pool for younger kids! It also has a play area that reminds me of the old McDonald's Play place, ball pit included.

Nothing wrong with the place just IBe weary that at 3-5 is high school students and pretty busy but outside of that it's not the worse good luck getting bench or squat rack back that's really it everything else is really great 👍 …

This is the local YMCA that I like to visit. I primarily use the YMCA for swimming and strength training, for triathlons. The pool at this YMCA is never crowded, I have always been able to find a lane. Lap swimming doesn’t begin to 12 PM and goes until closing. The staff is incredible, everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful to me during every visit. The crowds within the gym are minimal, so if you don’t like to work out around a lot of people, this is a great YMCA location.
