A yoga studio where anyone can be comfortable. I came for therapeutic lessons after surgery and am now back on the mat after a year break. They have free (donation) community classes, mobility impaired and trauma informed classes, meditation focused classes, and power pilates - plus much more. The wall yoga is amazing, I go every week! Give it a try and feel welcome.

I went here with some friends to do the wall yoga. I'm in know way a yoga sort of dude. I'm not flexible, and more if a burger and beer person than stretch and breath. This class was AMAZING, the teacher was so good at making me feel welcome, and creating the right atmosphere. My highlight saw hanging upside down, no way I thought I would be able to do it. After he class, I felt mellow. The knots in my body were gone, I felt good for days after the class, confident and clear in my mind. I would go back in a flash.

I've been going to Yoga Studio Satya for more than 3 years now. I showed up with a friend to try it out, even though I was skeptical and didn't think I was the "type" that could do yoga. But, I was unable to play soccer and out for an injury so I thought it might suffice in the interim. I played soccer for over 30 years, so my knees have been abused and damaged. I went to an orthopedic shortly after the injury and he wanted to break my patella in half and bolt it back into place. Sounding fairly intrusive, I asked for an alternative like physical therapy. He said at the state of my knees, “there was nothing to do to avoid surgery and he’d like to see me prove him wrong”. Queue Yoga…. Yoga shattered any false labels or stereotypes I once held, and it has honestly changed my life. Amanda was conscientious and compassionate from the very first class I took with her. She helped me learn about my anatomy and what was causing the knee pain and she gave me exercises and stretches to help improve my pain and mobility. She listened when others wouldn’t, she got to the root of the issue instead of trying to put a band-aid on the problem like I feel so many do. I was thrilled with the improvement! But then something happened… yoga started impacting me at a deeper, spiritual level.I took Amanda’s first 200hr Yoga Teacher training program, which was one of the best things I have done for myself. I not only learned an in-depth history of yoga; the history, asanas, pranayama, meditation, sequencing, anatomy, all of it, but I learned more about myself than years of therapy taught me. I struggled with anxiety and depression for most of my life, and I now have the awareness and the tools to dramatically reduce the frequency and severity of both of those. Amanda and Colten have built a community that is warm, welcoming and inclusive. They are two of the most genuine people I have ever met. Every teacher at Satya embodies the same desire to help others and you can feel that intention as you walk through the doors. I wholeheartedly recommend this Studio and wish for everyone to receive the love and community they offer.

Yoga studio Satya becomes my second home.Amanda (the owner and an instructor ) fulfilled her vision for this studio: to create a safe place where people with very different fitness level can practice yoga and create a wonderful community. This place has a lot of LIGHT (physical and spiritual). In this studio you are always welcomed, accepted, supported, encouraged, motivated, instructed, loved. What else do we all need.Svetlana Nudelman
