CCSF’s Fitness Center, located in the Wellness Center on the City College of San Francisco campus, offers a variety of amenities including a spacious swimming pool and a range of workout machines. The fitness center is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable students training to become personal fitness coaches. Although the facility has some dated equipment, it remains clean and well-maintained. This gym provides a female-friendly, non-judgmental environment creating a safe space for all users.
However, accessibility can be challenging as the gym operates on limited hours and requires CCSF student enrollment to use the facilities. Parking can also be problematic, and mandatory masks may be a deterrent for some potential users.

Only thing that's bad is hours are limited. If you are a City resident this is where you need to be. Students who are training to become personal fitness coaches with up-to-date advice, friendly co-gym rats always ready with a spot, very female friendly/ no judgement zone & safe. Stop making excuses put the phone down and GET OVER HERE 😅

The swimming pool is spacious and nice but a bit over chlorinated. The facilities are a bit dated, there's no soap in the showers, the standing driers are only for tall people, and there are no drop-ins either at the pool or cardio+weightlifting rooms, even for students -everything has to be scheduled as a class. Needless to say, resources aren't open to the community (unless people go through the ordeal of becoming CCSF students). That's a big barrier to exercising, and a missed opportunity for the community college to provide more of a service to the community (their revenue would increase if they were open to the public and for longer hours). Consequently, the facilities seem to be severely underused.

So affordable! Decent, but well-used machines, shortened hours(I'm almost always available during the times when they are closed: 2/3 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Helpful staff.
