This gym is well equipped, clean and staffed with knowledgeable coaches. Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is tailored to reduce the movement deficits that often plague Parkinson's Disease patients. RSB has helped me slow down and in some cases reverse the progression of Parkinson's Disease.

RSBSD has been has been one of the best parts of my life since being diagnosed with PD 10 years ago. Victor is a great coach - always challenging us physically and cognitively with new varieties of exercises. The camaraderie with the other fighters is also beneficial. A great program!

I have had Parkinson's disease for 10 years. About 6 years ago, my doctor recommend RSB Escondido to me.At Escondido, the coaches are RSB certified and continually learning about PD. They provide new ideas and guidelines that they learn at conferences and training camps.I started at level 2 and quickly moved up to level 1 due to improved strength and flexibility. The benefit that I gain from joining RSB is tremendous. The main reason of my success is, in big part, boxing exercise coached by a pro kick boxing fighter, Victor Rosas. When I concentrate mindfully to try to punch as correctly as possible, my body returns to a more normal gesture; my shoulders and hips are more open. All of my old joints, especially the spine, start to loosen.Fighting PD is not easy and may take a long time to know what is best for each individual. With patience and care, RSB coaches work hard to provide variations to improve problem areas. As a result, no day is the same. It is always exciting. In addition, RSB Escondido has a support group to provide information, help, and opportunity for fighters to become part of a trusted family.

The day I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I contacted RSBSD. Now more than 5 years later I know attending RSBSD has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my fight against Parkinson’s! This non-contact boxing fitness program has provided me with an opportunity to be physically fit and energized through ‘forced intense exercise’. Coach Victor incorporates PD-specific exercises such as PWR! Moves to help us work on skills that are needed for everyday movements. He is always creating new workouts to challenge our body and mind. The supportive coaches and fighters create an environment of camaraderie, fun, inspiration, and HOPE! I highly recommend RSBSD if you are looking for an exercise program to help fight against Parkinson’s!

Attending classes at RSB San Diego for the past several years has been extremely beneficial in keeping my husband's physical Parkinsons symptoms at bay. These amazing classes with head coach and owner Victor Rosas have also helped tremendously with keeping the emotional issues surrounding the disease much more manageable. The comradery between those attending classes is beyond compare. GO ROCK STEADY!!!

A few months after I was diagnosed with Parkinson's, I decided to follow a suggestion from my neurologist that I consider an exercise program offered at RSBSD. I had no idea what to expect and what value the program would have to offer. Now that I have been in the program for a while, I find that the combination of exercises and boxing that are offered have improved my balance, strength and, ability to walk in a normal gait again. Exercise is the best way of dealing with Parkinson's and RSBSD has been an excellent way of providing me with a means to achieve my goal.

This gym has some of the most hard working dedicated individuals I have ever seen. They come to Rock Steady to fight back against Parkinson's Disease with their trainer Victor Rosas. I am proud to be from a city that is affiliated with such a unique and heart warming program. If you know anyone with Parkinson's please send them to Rock Steady Escondido and Victor's way. He cares for each and everyone of his fighters. He also does personals and trains at this gym as well.

RSBSD is an amazing resource for folks diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The workouts are challenging, each class is designed to address the impact Parkinson’s wants to make on your body and those attending are much more than class participants. I have an incredible support group now, people who understand me and also share their experiences with Parkinson’s. Coach Victor in Escondido is terrific. He is creative in his teaching style. He works hard and ensures we do too! Rock Steady Boxing rocks!
