My son has been going here for years doing Sabre. What makes this school special is the effort they put into making us feel like a family. We may not win all the tournaments, but we can guarantee that we have the most fun and care about one another more so than any other team. This is because the coaches are so amazing and encourage us all to support one another. Truly special place. All my kids will be joining the team when they are ready.

I highly recommend chosing this club to fence at, I have been fencing here for about three years and in that time I've made a family here. The coaches here are amazing and truly are a part of the class, they don't just sit there and tell you what to do, they engage with the class. They have a variety of classes here including ones for adults and kids. I also really enjoy the ability to have one on one lessons!

This is a top notch fencing school! My son started here after having a bad experience at another local sabre only school. We immediately noticed a difference with the quality of coaches and affordability of classes. Safety is never compromised and theory and skills training are the focus. They have classes for all 3 weapons and the coaches are active in the classes and community. My son fences with his coaches which are active, top competitive fencers. Some of the coaches are older and don't gear up but used to fence and are actively coaching and correcting posture, form and actions. They also have a current two-time national youth champion in his class among other great competitive fencers.I have enjoyed watching my son fence so much that I have started fencing as well. It's not just for the youth, there are many adult fencers that show up after the classes and fence until the school closes at 9pm.They routinely bring in world class and Olympic fencers for training and workshops.

My daughter has been fencing at SDFC for 3 years. This was the first club where my daughter found the love of the sport. I am so glad my friend referred me to here. This place is so affordable compared to some of the other fencing clubs I have visited. They have several options for membership levels and they are all very reasonable given that lessons are 3 times per week and last about 2 hrs.The coaches teach the art of the sport while instilling hard work and patience. They are also the kindest people I know.My daughter chose to be competitive from the beginning, but there are all levels you can join in. There are also parents who fence, too.I have made many friends at SDFC and we all support each other when we go to competitions. We are a big happy family!

My son fences at the San Diego Fencing center since he was 10. They have an amazing coaching staff and you always feel like part of a big fencing family. Saul and Vickie are the owners and they really make you feel welcome. My son is now turning 16 and he is competing internationally, what makes us all really proud. I am about to start fencing myself in a new program for adult beginner called "Fit Fencing". This is an amazing sport and the San Diego Fencing Center is the right place to practice for everyone in the family.
