They will not cancel your membership until you physically come into the building to cancel it. I called to cancel 4 separate times over a period of 4 weeks informing them that I’m unable to come to their location, only to be charged for yet another month because they didn’t cancel it. “I didn’t sign the cancellation form”. They have my email address on file, why not just send me the form?? Good luck cancelling if you move far away.

This gym is clean which is probably most important. But it has a nice staff, good gym vibe. Only down side is the machine wipe downs are wipes I'd prefer the napkins incase I sweat.

Signed up recently. Check-in and registration pretty smooth. Friendly staff. Signed up for the base except it's $15/mo (not $10) if you don't commit for a full year, which is still OK for me so consider that. ~$55 total cost of signing up (fist month included) and they give you one free session with a personal trainer, which I decided to continue with, since I've never tried one before. That's (~$60 session) for 3 moths (their minimum suggested time) and then we'll see.Just ONE request: please, please consider adding a bike station. This is a gym! of course there's ppl who want to bike there ;)easy 4 starts, I'll update my review after a couple of months :).

Everything was clean and well maintained but the reason I’m writing this is to say that the customer service was above and beyond. I moved away In September and thought I cancelled but turns out they didn’t get my email or a mistake was made. When I called I believe her name was Alisca she went above and beyond got my membership canceled and was able to get it refunded. Called me back exactly when she said. In my book that’s service that will make me come back to a crunch in the future if I move to a city that has one!

Finally quit after going being a regular member shortly after it opened years ago. It’s gotten noticeably worse every year. It’s impossible to use free weights between 5-8pm. I’ve had to wait in line for equipment as late as 9:30pm. Alot of the equipment is starting to get worn down. I recently saw a cable snap on someone doing rows, making him fly backwards into the machines behind him. Crunch is lucky he didn’t get injured.Management is awful. Their employee turnover rate is incredibly high, even for a gym. In the years I’ve been there, it looks like they’ve cycled through every high school/college age person in metro Detroit at the front desk, and dozens of different trainers. I’ve had multiple negative encounters with the purple hair manager and have heard similar complaints from other regulars. My last encounter is when I ultimately decided to quit.Overall, it’s not the worst gym I’ve seen. It’s nice if you’re really on a budget and want to go early in the day or mainly plan on using cardio equipment. I’ll be joining another gym in the area for now. Hopefully Crunch can make a turnaround soon.

See all the one star rating. No manager on job. All kids working at front desk does not know anything besides watching people scan their membership card. If you are looking for self service gym, this is one for you. If you have problem, It will take forever. When i started initially, they had issues with credit card machine. I got my money back after 25 days after calling them and leaving a message multiple time. After a year or so I started again thinking now they will be good. But again, its the same. I want to cancel my membership but no manager. I think the kids can learn how to cancel the membership if the owner allows. I feel they just want people to pay and don't cancel the membership.

I’ve had a base membership at this location for about two years now. 5-6 mornings a week so you can say I love working out. I’ve tried a lot of gyms before, but this is the best!Reliable and friendly staff, clean, atmosphere, and reasonable hours, especially during the holidays. For a price that can’t be beat, any complaints I have are minimal. Awesome equipment and from what I’ve seen great personal trainers, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They are innovative with staying current with their equipment and adding accessory equipment. As far as the gym goers, I’m never afraid to ask for a spotter, and I’ve had only friendly interactions on the floor, as well as in the locker room. I can’t recommend Crunch Fitness enough!

All of their employees seem to be under 21, which is fine, but they naturally take their responsibilities as if they were teenagers. If I need to look at this every time I go to the locker room, then so should everyone else who is thinking of joining this gym.

DO NOT UPGRADE! Again DO NOT UPGRADE! They will say you can downgrade anytime but they won't let you if you try to later. I was on the 9.99 plan and thought ill try a few classes get a guest with me for a couple months who was staying over and then downgrade again. So I upgraded to the highest level during which they said I could go back anytime. N now that I want to go back they said you were signed up for a contract and cannot. They agree it was their mistake but just say too bad I got to live with it. Absolute scammers. EXTREMELY CROWDED too. Forget getting a bench, you won't even get parking spot during peak hours.

Great location on Hagerty and Grand River in Farmington Hills, Michigan.Good amount of equipment; good quality of equipment. Well kept up, minus the occasional broken mirror but that’s cost of doing business in the weight lifting+ gym market. The icing on the cake is the Sauna/Locker-room amenities included at any package.I see this gym and this model as being the best Value to Return ratio for a gym. Definitely meets my standards and I wouldn’t recommend without being a member for 6+ months to tell if the Value is there. For 180$ a year (12x10+60 annual fee) this is great option for any college student or worker in the area needing a gym.
