I highly recommend Geist Martial Arts. If you are looking for a family friendly and positive environment this is the place to be. It has become an activity that our whole family is now a part of. Mr. and Mrs. Byrd bring structure and laughter to their training techniques which is an absolute joy to be a part of. Most importantly our kids have learned and are continuing to learn important life lessons that they will carry all their life.

My child absolutely loves this karate studio. They really make learning fun. I also appreciate that they teach my child important lessons about working hard, being kind, and being a good sport. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We recently moved to the area and our daughter expressed interest in trying Martial Arts. We read the amazing reviews for Geist Martial Arts and decided to give them a try. Our daughter has anxiety and was extremely nervous, however the amazing staff (especially Ms. Rosenthal and the Byrd’s) quickly made her laugh and put her at ease. It quickly became her favorite activity.If your child has anxiety, is shy, nervous, or just needs some self-confidence do not hesitate. They are amazing and will absolutely bring out the best in your child. We’ve witnessed it with our daughter.

Couldn’t be happier with what I see day in and day out at Geist Martial Arts. My 6 year old joined about two years ago and the transformation I have seen is incredible.GMA not only teaches a martial art, but teaches great life skills for the students, which are continuously reinforced each class.The staff are all friendly, patient, and helpful. Mr. Byrd is a wizard with the kids and both parents and students enjoy his unique personality and ways to lighten up the class.If you haven’t signed up yet, go for it.5/5

Absolutely love Geist Martial Arts! We pass several other martial arts locations to bring our son here. All of the instructors do an amazing job of keeping the kids focused and make sure they are actively participating. My son has been going here for almost a year and ALWAYS looks forward to going to class and loves to practice what he learns at home. There is no contract, they're affordable, very patient with the students, and the classes are very active and fun! Highly recommend this place!

Let's start off with saying my kids love Mr. Byrd and all the instructors. Mr. Byrd adds a little humor into his teachings, keeping the kids engaged. He also teaches them about having self control, determination when it gets hard, and other lessons that matter in their daily lives..all while providing them with skills in self defense and confidence. Another benefit is they don't make you sign a contract, gracious with payment times when needed and they are flexible with class times (we are a very busy family and they have allowed us to attend a different class level when needed since the times worked better for us). I also love that they genuinely like to give back to the community. I wish all businesses ran the way they do. I could go on, but come find out for yourselves.

This is a very positive, professional, and fun environment. Mr. Byrd has been a great instructor with my son and continues as a great mentor as my son continues to stay involved. The Byrds also regularly give back to both their clients and the community. I highly recommend Geist Martial Arts.

A fantastic family place for everyone! We love the Byrd family and the other instructors as they teach my two boys (10 and 4 years old) discipline, hard work, and kindness. The classes are well organized, fun and flexible times. My favorite part is the black belt instructors are all different ages and fun with the kids.
