The one in Downtown Flint is actually my preference, BUT . .the AC is non existent! I was wanting to spend a half hour on the (as it turns out, ancient) NuStep but it has to be 85 degrees in the little equipment room. Next time I went to the facility on Pierson road. MUCH cooler, and a HUGE workout room but again, NuStep was from 1950 ( or so . .). They are ridiculously expensive and I'm used to one built around 2019 . Not gonna extend my membership indefinitely me thinks!

Love the steam room...it's awesome...pool and whirlpool too. The workout equipment is top notch...but best of all the people that come there are friendly and make you feel at home..love it!!

Went swimming here about a week ago the building was clean I guess the inside was remodel sometime ago outside is still pretty old the swimming pool was pretty nice not enough lighting kind of dark in the swimming pool area it was $15 for me for a one day pass and $12 for my 14 and 16 year old son apiece I have actually been to nicer rec centers that was cheaper I think they need to work on pricing and make it more affordable for everyone and the place is not even that nice

I have been a member at the Y for over 30 years. Since I was a kid I’ve been enjoying this facility, so many great memories and friendships made here! The staff is friendly, the facility is well maintained! I do miss some of the workout equipment that was taken away since they re-opened from COVID caused closure, which I’m sure is due to keeping distance while using the facility, but other than that I absolutely have nothing but good things to say about the Y, as it is affectionately called by many!

I love this YMCA in the heart of Downtown Flint. The staff is great - from the custodial care to the front desk and lifeguards.There is a safe and friendly feeling when you come to this Y.The Flint Falcons club swim team is also great - my teenage son has loved the program and the amazing coaches.
