Gracie Barra Fort Lauderdale

Came in from Columbus Ohio and felt extremely welcomed. In Ohio I’m not even apart of the Gracie Barra team but here it didn’t matter they welcomed me from the start. I’ve trained at gyms all over the country, some gyms aren’t as welcoming especially when you’re not apart of their team. This team is different. A great family environment that welcomes all phases of experience. When I come back to Fort Lauderdale I’ll definitely be returning. If you’re in the area I’d definitely recommend joining the gym. Jujitsu gyms like this aren’t everywhere and the fact you have this gym here is a blessing.

My 13 year son is having a blast training three times a week! Great atmosphere and coaching! I highly recommend!

I've been going here for about 5 months now and I love it. Professor Joao Has been a very good teacher along with the higher ranking belts and will teach both a combination of self defense and technical moves and positions. There are no egos here so you can come in to learn and grow in BJJ.

My daughter has gained so much self confidence since attendance Gracie Barra Fort Lauderdale. In just a short amount of time, she’s become stronger and more outgoing. As she progresses, I’m looking forward to see how she learns to defend herself in all situations.

I only have great things to say about Grace Barra Fort Lauderdale and staff. My daughter (8yrs) started jiu-jitsu 4 months ago, she loves it, and doesn’t want to miss a day. Professor João Fonseca is professional, kind, and the kids love him. The facility provides an environment of respect, discipline, and non-quitting attitude that my daughter and every kid takes to their everyday life. Every time I had a question or needed anything, Raissa was always so sweet and willing to help. I highly recommend jiujitsu and I’m proud to be part of Grace Barra family….

The best place to train Brazilian JiuJitsu, there you can count on qualified teachers and Master Alexandre Café with all his personal and professional experience in and out of JiuJitsu. I love this team

I can’t tell how great full I am to have my son in this school. My son suffers from anxiety and it’s been really tough. We tried everything from football to baseball and nothing helped it actually made him more anxious. It wasn’t the just the sport that actually gave him the anxiety it was the people coaching the sport. I have tears in my eyes just writing this…Raissa and Joao are a family that treat your children like family..Joao who is the professor has taught my son confidence and never to give up…he is wonderful!! And his wife Raissa is amazing she is lovely!!My suggestion is we took the classes as well as private lessons to make him feel more comfortable when he was in a group. The private lessons were great because he got closer with his professor and they grew a bond which makes him feel more comfortable and confident in the class!This family makes you feel like family they care about our children and I love them!! I cannot recommend GB Ft Lauderdale enough! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. From people on their first day to people that have been training a lifetime, they treat everyone with the same kindness and respect. Joining the GB Ft Lauderdale team was the best decision I have ever made. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to better themselves in every facet of life.
