I have worked out at Jay’s Body Works for many years and consider him a truly elite personal trainer and weightlifting expert. His gym could be the scene for the original ROCKY movie. Nothing but weights, inspirational quotes and pictures on the walls, rock n roll music, and muscled Jay The Norwegian Viking! He applies the old school weightlifting principles of Vince Gironda, a legendary trainer who emphasized diet, concentration, proper form and an array of specific exercises geared to maximize muscle development. Jay works with everyone from professional athletes to busy executives to octogenarians staying fit and customizes training regimens accordingly. He doesn’t give anyone any quarter though. He’s out to separate the Contenders from the Pretenders! If you want to learn from the best and build muscle and confidence and strength, there is not a better personal trainer in the entire country than Jay Holstad! He is the Real Deal!

I’ve been training here for 6 months and have seen great results. I had a skiing injury years ago, and every time I’d start up a weight training routine it would cause discomfort from my old injury. I discussed it with Jay when I started, we avoid some movements, and I’ve had no issues.

I’ve been coming to Jay’s Body Works for over 6 months and I’ve seen a great deal of improvement in myself. My main objective was to get toned and I’ve definitely achieved that.The gym’s atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Jay the owner / trainer is very knowledgeable and patient. Best investment I could’ve made by going this gym.
