When I went to sign up in May, I work thirds, and I was so tired and not feeling well, and I went when there was a special for the enrollment fee wavied if done by like 2pm or something for kids day, and then it got changed to all day after I called and confirmed that same time that morning and the monthly fee should have been waived until June until the new branch opened if you signed up as that branch as your home branch. I went in and somehow I ended up waiting forever, since they were so busy.... somehow, I was missed, so I finally said something a little upset like I been waiting forever! (But I did go to a different branch too) And then they said I would immediately be seen. I got called in and he offered me that month free for the mix-up and I said no, it would be free if I made the new branch my home branch! I was still upset just from being tired. And honestly my tone was rude. And the guy there ignored my behavior and apologized and then offered the next month free. He treated me with so much respect after I just walked in angry. I never had someone as nice as him that handled an angry member/ or anywhere else a customer. Just his tone, words, and respect, really made me impressed with the YMCA. I was never treated as nice as he handled the situation. And since then, the classes are amazing. The staff there and instructors are all just unlike any other gym. I don't feel uncomfortable and treated below anyone as some gyms have that impression with their staff.

Nice place, layout is good, good equipment. They rent the gym out, so us members can't use it, what's with that we pay for the gyms as members, then they double up and rent it out, very not right. Also the gyms are full of little kids, I assume dropped by the parents so they can have a babysitter. Gym gets too busy. When it's low on people it's nice there, clean and great staff.

Love going to this Y! The staff is always helpful and Gwen at the front desk is always there letting people in early in the morning! The pool is refreshing and I love the windows that bring in the sunlight early in the morning. A great Y to be a member of!
