Love the instructors. The facility does not have an upstairs restroom. And the speaker in the aerobic room has been malfunction for quite some time. But the staff is nice and the place is clean.

The hours of operation on weekends is the worst thing about this gym. Still a great gym and alot of equipment and space. Also has sauna and terf room.

My favorite college gym — Best-equipped with every piece of machinery you could need in a gym facility. This location is one of the few with a two-story mezzanine, CrossFit room, wall-ball room, personal trainers and saunas. As most gyms are, this location is ideal during business hours and gets progressively busier until between 5-8pm. However, I never felt I was waiting more than 3 minutes for a piece of equipment.Though this facility is incredibly affordable (which attracts a large group of people), the team keeps their cleanliness and machine maintenance up to par. My only complaint is that this location does not have a pool, which i find is a great bonus to many other locations. All in all — helpful staff & healthy atmosphere. 👍🏼

I’m a long term member and my wife was a member of Golds back in the day. I used to love this gym but recently it has gotten very crowded at all times of day. The variety of equipment is great but what good is it if I can’t use what I want half the time? I hope corporate can reel this in soon somehow. I’d have already left if I could find a convenient and comparable gym. I shouldn’t leave my workout frustrated from battling crowds. And BTW the abandoned pool is an eyesore you need to do something with it.Update - well someone from FC was kind enough to acknowledge my concerns so that’s appreciated. But my review stands. You’re smart enough to know what I mean and the only thing I really want is results. As a working adult I want to be able to hit the gym once maybe twice during the week to squeeze in a workout at a time when it shouldn’t be crowded. I don’t want to have to battle crowds or be unable to use equipped because others are in no hurry, loitering and socializing on the equipment, clearly in no hurry to return to work. So please tell us all, what are you going to do about it?Attention competitors, if you can match the equipment variety, there’s a good opportunity here for a new gym limited to members age 25 and older.

Fitness Connection is a SCAM. They charged me a “late fee” but I’m confused as to how that is possible because the payments are recurring. I have never logged in to physically make a payment so either their system is faulty and they need to refund me or they are purposely deciding when they want to charge a “late fee”. So I cancelled today around an hour ago and received an email saying the effective date of cancellation is on September 14th 2022. I was told I would have to give 30 days notice so I will still be charged for August, but since they like to withdraw money from my account purposely later to retrieve extra money, who knows how much the last payment to this scam will be. I will never join this gym again and I will never recommend it. I cannot wait for this to be over.

I recently joined this gym and I love the atmosphere and changes. I came here a few years ago and found this gym was previously PULSE. I think the trainers are great, the manager Jessica is so HOT!!!!! I love to see her when she's working - so friendly! For the price I pay, it's amazing all the extras that are better than going to a Planet Fitness.

I was a member here for over 20 years under different names and owners; Gold's, Pulse, Fitness Connection. For a while it was great. It offered more amenities than any gym around. But a few years back, they started screwing things up. Filled in the jacuzzi first. Next , shut down and took out the steam rooms. Then, decided to close down the pools. Some of us only joined here because they had these to offer. So, I dropped my membership after being there for SO long. It's ridiculous that no gym in Greenville, a city with a university and a medical school and hospital, doesn't have a gym any longer with these amenities to offer. Totally disappointed in the changes made at this once great gym.

I used to attend this gym daily when I lived in Greenville, NC- for a period of 5 years. I moved away two years ago. I was in town a week ago and decided to have a morning workout. Things have changed a bit, but I did enjoy my stay! Anyway, what I enjoyed most? The space! Everything is spaced well apart, so although many would workout at once during peak hours, I’d never actually experience claustrophobia. Secondly, there’s tons of gym equipment on both floors of the gym. On the top floor, there’s a room with a turf area in addition to squat racks, standard barbells (which are also located in the bottom floor), rowing machines, plyometric boxes, medicine balls and yoga mats. Outside this room, you have a variety of cable machines and gym equipment used for both cardio and resistance training. There’s also a studio room where classes take place. Bottom floor consists of several racquetball courts and rooms filled with stationary bikes- which I never personally used. I only knew classes would take place here. Anyway, my favorite section of the gym is the former basket ball court (where I used to jog). It was remodeled completely a handful of years ago. They did-away with the basketball hoop nets and poles and filled the room with modern gym machines- Roc It. I love these machines! They literally rock when they’re in-use, which help utilize and activate the target muscle. For example, I attached an image of one of my favorites: Standing Calf Raise. My calves be burning! 😄 Beautiful colors were also incorporated in the renovated gym: red, blue and a mustard yellow, which sincerely gave life to the gym. It used to be dully colored. Something mgmt. should consider? Replacing the plyometric boxes and yoga mats. Although once new, they’re worn-out today. I even noticed area where the walls didn’t look as vibrant and clean as when first painted. I didn’t go out of my way looking for defects, but just happened to come across these imperfections. Lastly? I loved the gym environment- the people! I left behind a great gym family! 🥲 And fyi, it was easy to end my contract here! All it took was a phone call.

I've worked out here for years. It struggled for years to keep up with other gyms in the area. Since Rick has taken over as manager, he has advocated for the Greenville location and updated the entire gym. They still have some challenges but have come a long ways. Kudos.
