Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club is a fitness center located in Hillsboro, OR, known for its friendly and attentive staff. Members can enjoy a variety of amenities, including a great pool, plenty of cardio equipment, and a well-maintained weight lifting area. The club also offers various classes for all fitness levels, enhancing the community atmosphere.
While the gym excels in service and facilities, it falls short in areas important to families. Been long time members here with my family. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when needed. The pools are nice.Reasons for only 4 out of 5 stars: 1) Weekend hours are too short, please bring back pre-Covid hours, and 2) a lot of my favorite equipment in the weight room was removed during a remodel a year or two ago. At least there are two barbell racks now. They’ve become popular enough that I honestly think a third is justified.

I have been charged twice since I signed papers to cancel membership. Make sure you tell your bank not to allow them to keep charging your account.

The friendliness and attentiveness of the management, front desk staff, instructors, housekeeping, and janitors is this club’s best quality in a crowded field. The staff set a strong clear tone that’s echoed in the overall neighborliness of the club.

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a family gym.I joined because of the kids club to use while I workout and had an awful experience, didn't even end up leaving my kid there to be watched because of how bad it was.I tried cancelling my membership since I can't even use the gym due to no childcare and they're making me continue to pay.0/10 would not refer anyone to this gym.

We mainly joined this club for swimming classes. Its good for private swim lessons, we loved our Coach Jesse. But its not meant for families. Nope. No lifeguard onsite. No help to support families either, very disappointing. Can be and should be improved. Specially the club closes at 3.30 pm over weekends. No other facility has these early hours for weekends.

Best club ever. They have remained a safe place to work out during the pandemic. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere with many options for fitness. I’ve tried other gyms in the past in Washington County and none compare with Hawthorn Farms Athletic Club!!

Their hours of operation were reduced during COVID-19 to Mon-Fri to close at 8PM and 4PM on weekends but they still charge the same amount as they did when they were open until 10PM on weekdays and 6PM on weekends. If you are a working parent good luck using the gym in the evening since they’ll be closed by the time the kiddos are asleep. They say they are waiting for more people to join before they return to regular hours which seems a complete disregard of current customers and their needs.I strongly recommend to rectify before I suspend my subscription and move to Villa Sport Athletic club whose hours of operation actually meet a family’s schedule

Hawthorne Farms is a very nice gym. They have a great pool, plenty of cardio equipment, and a good weight lifting area with barbells and machines. We have had amazing service from the entire HFAC staff--and I have always felt very welcomed when I walk into the gym for a workout. I was also very impressed with how they handled the pandemic--all the machines were spaced out and several cleaning stations were installed throughout the gym.

I have been coming here for years. I cancelled my membership today. I was told I can only use the facility when they say so. A loyal costumer paying $200+ for a husband and wife membership and then getting denied at the door entry is just unacceptable, especially when you see multiple customers inside. I was not informed I needed to make a reservation now that the front doors are open. We had to make reservations before when we had sneak in the side doors (as not to draw attention that they were semi-open) That would be great if they communicated when we are not allowed inside but they didn't. I haven't made a reservation in two months and never had a problem. I was told it wasn't necessary, "not a big deal, just come on in, don't worry about it" and I figured even more so since the front doors were back open and they weren't needing to sneak people in to keep taking their needed moneys. But yes, I was shut down and told I cannot work out while I saw others inside working out. The rude lady said I needed to make a reservation and I wasn't welcome.Nice gym, but fancy pancy staff are a real let down. The frustrating part is that they abide by no social distancing stipulations, but they still push people around like they do.Julie is a great staff member but I can say nothing for the rest of the place.Way over priced for what their currently offering.PS- there was no discount when they took 85% of the gym away and only allowed us outside in the pools. Still charged us when we couldn't even use the place. Totally over it. Royally bummed and will be spreading the word that this place is not working with members for a better experience, way over priced and will leave you high and dry. Two thumbs down.

I have been going to this gym since I was a little girl. It has changed hands over the years but the quality and cleanliness had not. Sure there are a few machines who's headphone jacks are a little fuzzy but aren't those going out of style anyways? The staff is always so kind and the atmosphere is calming and yet, makes me feel like I can do anything. They have a wide range of amenities from family locker rooms to a spa that is luxurious. So many different classes for varying levels of difficulty are offered. There is no shame in trying something out. Come be a part of the family! ❤️💆🧖🧘🚶🏃🤸🏇⛹️🧗🏊
