Staff at OTF are very welcoming. They helped people going trough this journey. I have not workout in years and has been a good experince.Coaches try keeping people motivated, and seemed passionated about their job.Kudos to Erin at Hollywood HIlls. She takes the time to explain the exercises and makes sure to mantain communication with the team members during the hour workout. That's a plus for new people like me, who are not very familiar with the class dynamics.

I have been a member of OTF Hollywood since 2014. It is my home away from home. I go 6-7 days a week, and love every minute of it. It's not just the workout (which is amazing), but the coaches, staff and my fellow members. OTF Hollywood represents the true sense of community. We've supported each through so much. I cannot imagine going through the pandemic without my OTF Family. I have been here for some time and have seen many coaches and staff come and go (it's the nature of the business). OTF Hollywood is in the best hands possible right now with an amazing Manager (Anna) and Head Coach (Felix). They go out of their way to make sure the members have what they need to achieve their goals. Felix and the coaches push me to do more than I thought I could possibly do - PW/ jog a little faster, lift a little heavier, and row stronger. They are our biggest cheerleaders. As for the music, I'll just say I'll take DJ Felix or DJ Jay any day over DJ Aoki! Yes, that's right - I went there.

I've been going to Orangetheory for 3.5 years now and for about 2 of those years, OTF Hollywood has been my home studio. During that time I have lost 50 (!!!!) pounds but MOST IMPORTANTLY I have found a new level of self-love and confidence that I literally have never had before. That's because this place has really become OTFamily. The newest studio manager, Anna, has really poured a lot of effort in the last few months to bring back joy and community to the studio. For example, she has included more giveaways, birthday shout outs and celebrations, and a more active social media presence. The previous studio managers also started this trend when things were coming back during peak Covid times, and I want to thank them too. Literally the front desk staff is doing their best to make the place feel welcoming and celebratory for all. That is one of the best parts about an OTF workout - you don't feel shamed or "not a gym person." You are encouraged at all times by cheerleaders (staff, coaches, and fellow members).I genuinely get something different from each coach at this studio - they all have different strengths and styles. I do have to shoutout my day 1s though, Head Coach Felix and Coach Jay. Not only is their music popping (they take requests, folks!) but they care about your form and your goals. They come up and talk to you during class and I know that I've become a stronger and better person physically - of course! - but also mentally and emotionally, especially because of the support of these two coaches. They are literally some of the nicest human beings ON THE PLANET. And let's not forget, Head Coach Felix literally won THE FITTEST MAN ON THE PLANET AWARD last year!!! How lucky are we to have him at our studio?! And I see Coach Jay approach everyone on the weight floor to correct their form and teach them ways to avoid injury while building muscle. It's really beautiful to see.Overall, this is an amazing place to go to and if you are nervous or scared, come find me in a workout and I will happily be your workout buddy for the class, the week, etc! I'm the one doing silly dance moves and wearing a headband and high socks.OTF Hollywood literally is the definition of more life! Thank you to all the staff and coaches for motivating each of us.

The Hollywood OT is not my home studio but I started going to it because I liked it better, even though my home studio has better treads and rowers (with actual OTB screens on the rowers, so cool...wish Hollywood would get these). I liked the Hollywood one because of the size (work-out area much less cramped than other locations), bc of the big windows (many OT studios are so dark, almost hard for me to see well), and most importantly, bc of a few of the coaches that I really liked. The workouts are the same across OT studios so it really comes down to those factors, coaches especially, for me. The reason it doesn't get more stars is as follows: while I believe all the coaches are pretty good, some clearly shine above the others. My favorite ones at the Hollywood location are Mel and Jess. Recently the schedule was changed, and Jess suddenly disappeared, sent to a different studio. Very bummed about that, she was great. Then Mel's schedule was changed significantly. When I asked management why such a popular coach was suddenly not doing her normal classes (much to several members' chagrin), the manager said in a rather unfriendly way "that's just the way it has to be." I was actually a bit taken aback. So I asked after my workout why it "has to be" that way... she said something about corporate and giving other coaches a chance as well. They appeared to cut Mel's classes in half, giving her a 5am class (no thanks) and some evening ones, rendering her available for just a class or 2 that I could attend. Why?? I only do 8 a month and I only go when it's a coach I really like...which should be my prerogative but now was increasingly difficult what with the disappearance of one of them, and the limiting of the hours of the other. Was this a corporate move or just some politics in the Hollywood studio? I have no idea, but I'm really disappointed. In case anyone from the company actually reads these reviews, I wanted to give this important feedback. Here's what I like about Mel's and Jess' classes:*they motivate members by calling out to them by name-they actually know who we are!*they watch members during workouts and correct form as necessary. This is crucial to help optimize performance and avoid injury. How is this not a priority for coaches?*they manage the volume of their voices and the music volume very well. MANY coaches at this studio in particular fail at this, either keeping music too loud even when giving instructions (which we can't hear bc the music is so loud), or they talk too loud over the music the whole time (I avoid one coach in particular bc his voice volume practically knocks me off the treadmill).*directions on workouts are clear, and repeated to us as we proceed in the workout. Several of the newer coaches have left members confused with unclear instructions or by failing to repeat anything once the workout has started.*they appear to like what they're doing, it doesn't seem just like a job to them. Both have personality. Seriously, great coaches-they make the classes fun.I will continue to go to this studio, unless the schedule changes again and I can't access a coach I like. I hope that doesn't happen. But if it does, at least I'll return to those fancy rowers at my home studio.

Started at OTF Hollywood when the studio opened and have been going everyday since! Literally if I’m home I go to class. So that means 7 days a week!!! And that’s because the instructors inspire and motivate you and push you to be better! Felix says 0.1, and I think I can go 1.0 better and now I’m running my fastest ever - Jay tells you to go stronger and always asks your fav part! When you go everyday it’s always nice to be recognized and welcomed like it’s your first day! Front desk recognizes your accomplishments and coaches celebrate them! Love you guys. Thank you for the constant motivation.Report a concern

I have been a member of Orangetheory since 2016, but have been coming to OTF Hollywood Studio for the past 3 years. This studio has become my second home. They are my OTFamily. The coaches, staff and studio manager are amazing!I must give a special shout out to the coaches (Felix and Jay) that continue to push me on a daily basis and are there for every personal record I crush at this studio. Felix (head coach) is always holding you accountable to your goals, and always plays the best music! he will call out some encouraging words to get you through your workout, makes sure to correct your form or provide an alternative options if you have any injuries. You can also catch a glimpse of Coach Felix on a lot of OTF commercials!!Coach Jay, is also amazing, he plays great music. with his expertise in track and field he has provided me with some great advice on running posture, and small techniques that has helped me get faster on the tread and also avoid injuries. He is great at correcting your form on the floor, and always gives anyone a shout out on the mic when they have hit the orange zone on the OT screen.Coach Amber and Alba (newly hired coaches) are Great! They are young and spunky!Coach Melanie always pushing people to hit their best Personal Record! The sales assistants are always cheerful and ready to answer any front desk related questions you may have.Anna the new studio manager, has done a great job on making a social media presence, shouting out members on their mile stones, personal records, birthdays etc. if you have any issues regarding the studio and or your account she handles it with great professionalism and always tries to accommodate the members needs.Overall, this studio is great, members are friendly and the staff are amazing.

I tried my first class at this location and could not have had a better experience. Melanie, the trainer, was personable, energetic, motivating, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I was skeptical about joining because I already go to a traditional weight-lifting gym, but was hooked by the end of the Orange Theory class because of the great staff and great workout. The franchise owner is very lucky to have such a great staff at this location who TRULY care about the clients and have a passion for fitness.

Such a great workout, we love Coach Melanie. All the coaches are great but Melanie sticks out because she checks in during the different exercises and encourages every member and is so personable you think your working out with the most encouraging friend you have!

I have been a member of this Orangetheory location for over 5 years now. While there has always been good quality trainers at this location, I've recently been struggling with motivation and overcoming injuries and Coach Mel always goes out of her way to make sure I show up and do my best while I am there. She makes the classes enjoyable with her quick lines and jokes, her music is great, and she always checks in during the workout to see how I'm feeling and/or if i need any modifications. You can tell she loves her job and she puts every effort into making sure your time in the gym is time well spent.
