Dirty all of the time. Dead roaches smushed into the floor and just left there. Machines covered in dust, hair and debris. People chalk their hands and leave it all over the barbells. You can see in my picture how filthy the barbell is when I wiped the chalk off. The ropes are fraying and so covered in oils that they leave oily residue on your hands when you touch them. Equipment is not maintained well. And only two bench press, why? The whole vibe is just terrible to me. Also, they do group classes in the main area of the gym, cutting off access to some of the equipment when they’re doing them, and blaring their own music along with the gym’s overhead music, so if you don’t have your headphones you have to listen to two different songs blasting at the same time.

Excellent Service and Friendly Staff!I had a fantastic experience at Crunch Hoover, all thanks to the incredible service provided by their outstanding front desk representative, Theresa. They truly went above and beyond to assist in getting my daughter set up with a month pass. Thanks to Theresa and the rest of the friendly staff, my daughter had an amazing experience during her month pass. She loved every minute of it and made new friends in the process. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a wide variety of state-of-the-art equipment and classes.I highly recommend Crunch Hoover to anyone looking for a top-notch fitness center with exceptional customer service.

Great facilities and super friendly staff. Great place to workout when out of town. Has 24hr gym pass not just for the “day”.

I thoroughly enjoy Crunch. I come in the morning to visit from time to time from the Alabaster location. The front desk rep, Theresa is incredible, so attentive, nice and super knowledgeable. Definitely makes you feel welcomed when you walk in! Crunch did something great when they hired her. Keep it up and thank you Theresa for being you, and making each person feel valued even if it is only for an hour.

Ondrea is such a helpful staff member!! It was my first time at this gym, and she was so nice and welcoming. She helped me and my mom upgrade our membership seamlessly, and she was so positive. 10/10 made our experience!! The equipment is super nice too! Spacious, well-lit, clean, and they even have HIIT classes, workout drinks, spray tanning, and a massage room!

I discovered Crunch Fitness about two year's ago & started off as a member at the Alabaster location. I was going so often during the night & the closing shift knew how much I enjoyed coming there that they made me aware of a pt closing position & recommended me to the manager Logan at that time. I was hired on & very much enjoyed my time there! After a small break, I was offered a position at the Crunch Hoover location! I very much enjoy working for this company & hope to grow with them in the future! The things I like most about my job are my coworkers & the awesome members that we have! Y'all make my night's! Thank you!

From someone who was a member of this facility for two years, take your business elsewhere. You can tell a lot about a company by how they treat their employees - and it’s pretty clear that this company only cares about numbers and money. Their solution to everything is to fire and rehire. They’ve been through at least 3 managers in the past 2 years - each one more incompetent than the last. They need to realize that maintaining members and clients is more important than consistently pushing sales. Pressure from corporate has caused previous managers to fudge numbers in order to receive bonuses because they’re severely underpaid, but Heaven (current GM) has managed to deflect the blame of her poor performance onto her coworkers and employees. The owner needs to start focusing on the issues that actually matter. Quality of trainers and employees is everything. Without that, you’re left with a run down gym, old equipment, and dirty bathrooms (with a million dead bugs in the lights). With their last two good trainers gone and replaced with someone who would do the job for less (temporarily) , quality is something the PT department is now incredibly lacking. I only stayed for as long as I did because I was worried another gym wouldn’t have a womens’ Olympic bar (Im training for a competition). Come to find out, Crunch’s biggest competitor has at least five, as well as other amenities (like a sauna and women’s only room) for the same price each month. I would’ve made the switch a lot sooner.

I trained with Kaylyn last week she was extremely knowledgeable. If you are looking to take that next step in your fitness journey she is the trainer to see. I have seen my strength and endurance already jump in the short time working with her.

Just coming back off of military orders I was excited to meet and discuss future options and opportunities with the head of personal training Heaven. Coming into the facility and looking to speak with her, she introduced herself in the most rude and obnoxious way without even knowing what I was there for or who I was looking to speak to. Her attitude and rudeness weren’t called for and I made an abrupt decision to cancel the personal training subscription based off of her lack of tact, rudeness, attitude, and horrible interaction at that moment. To be honest the rest of the staff is great but Heaven’s interpersonal skills are trash and need to be worked on for the sake of Crunch Hoover.
