Baptist Healthplex, nestled within the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, offers a holistic approach to fitness. This gym is well-equipped with modern workout machines, fitness classes, and swimming facilities. Its welcoming staff boost the atmosphere, creating a supportive environment for all members. The heated saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, and water aerobics make it a unique choice for both workout enthusiasts and individuals seeking therapy.
However, the gym's swimming facilities need attention and maintenance. With limited lifting equipment and short weekend hours, it primarily caters to an older demographic or those preferring a spa-like experience over intense weightlifting.

Love the workout facility, but the swimming pool and hot tub really needs some cleaning or painting. I was kind of disappointed with the condition expected more since it's across from the hospital. Cleanliness is everything.

I thought I'd see how this place will benefit me on my weight loss journey. Far as prices and what they have to offer. I love swimming also a great source for weight loss. It has a heated salt water pool, didnt care about the salt water fact but heated oh yeah... I said where do I sign up! I was so excited. Good location, great staff, but to my disappointment the pool is broken no heater or someone to put it on or something. Well I'm updating this review hoping someone sees it and get that pool up and running. I live too far to go there to walk around the track when I can go either direction to walk around a track. Yes I'm sure it has other means but I want to swim!!!. Lol just threw a lil tantrum but I'm okay now. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THE POOL so I can enjoy loosing weight at a seemingly affordable price.

Pool swimming lanes usually open. Proper pool temps & chemistry. Locker and showers are well lighted, clean, full of clean towels.

I started working out here a couple of weeks ago. The receptionist Mrs. Cathy is a blessing. Everyday with her is inspiration. Love it here.

Great place to workout. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Has plenty of workout equipment and up to date machines. Need a basketball court. Staff said they were in the process of getting a new basketball court soon.

Not the best lifting gym but awesome for a quieter, spa like experience. The pool is warm, the hot tub is big and inviting and there are few if any children about. It's an awesome gym for the older crowd as the pool has a ramp, the floors have mats and rugs, there are two handicap showers (at least in the women's) that have chairs. The cardio equipment has something for everyone no matter your fitness level. The only 2 drawbacks are the hours are short, especially on the weekends. Again, older folks probably won't have an issue with this and they do open incredibly early. The other drawback is if you are a powerlifter they don't have but one squat rack and no dedicated deadlift platform or area. The dumbbell area can get tight. That young man in the pic for this gym, is Lorenzo, one of their trainers. He's a really awesome trainer but he's now out at the Clinton location. Just fyi. One of the trainers at the Manship location is AJ. She's a good trainer, really into Tabata.Parking is covered in a garage, down side is that if you are claustrophobic you can't park up top on the weekends and use the elevator because the security guard turns it off because he doesn't want to deal with those levels. I realize claustrophobia is a niche problem, but there you go. But for those of you without that problem you never have to walk in the rain there. You do have to deal with a lot of tight parking lot maneuvers with people who don't know how to drive their huge cars, though.Water aerobics classes are big and popular. Zumba sometimes does the glowsticks. Again, it's more a spa like place rather than hard core lifting or crossfit type stuff.

Love it!! There are so many different ways to get a workout in here! I love the pool!!!! Although, I wished there was a different spot for the swimming lessons to be done. I feel as though the coach stares hoping I would get out till she's done....

There is a track for running, treadmill, and it fits my fitness needs. It's not too crowded when I've gone after 5. Spin class was pretty fun. Serves it's purpose.
