The gym provides a variety of machines and free weights, ensuring you rarely have to wait for equipment. Cleanliness is a strong point, and the gym caters to a diverse crowd, making it ideal for all fitness levels.

However, the facility has some drawbacks. There are ongoing issues with air conditioning and outdated equipment. Great place to get a good workout. One of the only places that still has the old school golds gyms feels. Favorite place I’ve found yet!

Went between 6:00-7:15 and the gym is very quiet. Ample space and easygoing.Visited from out of town and hoped for a solid gym to lift at for a couple days for work. David, the manager here, assisted me. Thank you!

Love this gym! It has the old school bodybuilding atmosphere. I started out coming with the buddy pass and ended up signing up for a regular plan because I enjoy this location so much. I want to also shout out Mike at the front desk, any time I’ve had any issues, he’s always gone way above and beyond to help resolve them immediately. I don’t plan on leaving any time soon!

I just have been a recent member of Genesis Health Club and so far I have been extremely satisfied with my experience. The facility is great and always kept clean. The equipments are well-maintained and there is a great variety of machines to choose from. The employees are friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great gym in the area.

It is by far the most run down genesis gym I've ever been to.. this place is barely holding together until new Genesis is done. Water leaks during rain are so bad , basic wall damage never fixed, so many cardio machines are broken. Like more than half of the yellow running machines, treadmills are usually 1/3 down at least, old equipment, the tanning beds look like a death trap , steam sauna always leaking water into the main area but it's cranking the heat. This place clearly is just waiting to be shut down, When new Genesis is done it will be gone. Why the 5 stars? Well, it grows on you. I know what machines work , sauna and steam room always work and hot, tanning beds are funny they look so bad but they work , kids area works w staff to watch your little ones, locker room is not smelly.... It has this run down charm. It's bad but when you go enough you realize it works. Maybe so many machines are down but I always find one that works. So 5 stars for keeping a dieing gym alive enough to wait out the new. It's going to make it the distance until it's time has come to close.

I originally joined Genesis at the Independence location. At the time, that was the closest gym to my house that had a swimming pool. The swimming pool was a must-have. I've moved and now Vivion is the closest Genesis to me. This is a bit of a letdown after my old location completed their remodel. The Vivian road location has quite a few problems. It seems like they are just letting it get run down. I read a review or two that mention a new location in the works, but I'm not sure where that will be located. I'd love to find out. This location seems to have a friendly staff, although I didn't have to interact with them much. The facility always seems to be dead when you view it from Vivian road. This is simply because the parking and main entrance are behind and to the east of the building.Beware the parking lot! My first visit was right after a massive rainstorm, and there were potholes out there that could easily destroy the undercarriage of a smaller car. There are signs from the previous owner on both the sauna and steam room saying that you're not allowed to bring water in! Here's a feature that's supposed to cause you to sweat as much as possible, yet you're not allowed to bring in water to drink? I understand they probably have had somebody pour water on the thermostat to make it hotter, and that can damage equipment, but that's a problem easily solved by setting the thermostat to the correct temperature, or putting protection around thermostat. I did visit both the sauna and steam room and both seem somewhat cooler than I'm used to. Both were also quite dark, and seemed a little sketchy on the inside. The doors didn't close properly, so what little heat there was was escaping pretty fast. The place would benefit from a few signs indicating where things are. I had to wander around for a while to find the locker rooms, the cardio area, etc.I'm not sure if I'll stick with this or not. If the new location is too far away, or lacks a swimming pool, or both, I'll just go buy a treadmill. I'll be able to get out of my contract simply by taking some water into this sauna...

Staff is very nice and inviting np there. They always want to know how you are and if you need help with anything or advice. Gym seems dirty and run down. Nothing to sanatize and wipe down the machines when done. Other than that it's OK for what it is. The great staff should be awarded something they can be proud to go to not something run down. Really needs a update bad.
