Located in Hannah Plaza, the gym provides a wide variety of machines and weights, catering especially to bodybuilders and powerlifters. Great gym, lots of good equipment, and most of the members are serious lifters but also everyone is nice. No judgement here if you're new to lifting. Also open 24/7, you just unlock the door with your keychain card.

Nice gym, clean facility, overpriced, and for students they don’t honor your monthly membership but forcefully signing you up for a year contract. Which results in either having to pay the overpriced membership for a year or pay out the rest of your “contract” you didn’t agree to when you signed up to pay monthly. I’d recommend Crunch any day!

This gym is in awful shape. I wish I never would have signed up for my membership, not only is it expensive but they only have 1-2 machines for most stuff. PLUS the ONLY pec deck has been broken ever since I got here! Please go elsewhere this gym is in horrible states.

Gym is not well maintained broken equipment is not an unusual thing here. Took over a month to fix toilet in men’s bathroom. If you’re a student at MSU you’re better off lifting at IM west.

Overall clean facility with plenty of equipment and friendly staff. If you're an MSU student looking for a more spacious gym than IM, definitely consider this place

Great gym, great staff. Been here for almost two years now. Facilities are generally clean and while it can get very busy at peak hours, I have never had a problem with getting my lift in.

This Gym is opened 24/7. It has more of an old school feel to it(vs planet fitness). They have great equipment and heavier weight than Anytime Fitness or Planet Fitness. The staff was very friendly. Also, a good mix of students (MSU)and community folk.

This place had a good environment and many machines to work with, but there are consistent struggles to find an open squat rack. Also I did not appreciate the customer service when a person said “theres nothing we can do about that” after charging an additional month after going in to cancel the membership in the month prior. Maybe this is common gym practice, but I was unaware that this was going to be charged again and I’m not in town to use it. Kinda unfortunate way to take money from their customers :(

Love this powerhouse and I’ve made so many awesome relationships here. The only thing missing is a straight pull up bar. They have pull up bars that are separated but not a single consecutive pull up bar anywhere. I want to practice my muscle ups but I can’t do this with the separated pull up bars at the squat racks at all. I strongly recommend getting one because I really want to perform this exercise at my favorite gym. I literally can’t perform this exercise without one and I’m surprised that a gym as good as this one doesn’t have a single straight pull up bar.

Gym is great for Bodybuilding and Powerlifting but....When I first moved to East Lansing this was the gym I chose to go to. Close to my apartment, lots of equipment, and Open 24 hours. But as time went on I realized this Gym was not meeting my needs. I like to compete in Strongman and Powerlifting and like to train functional strength. And I think this gym is missing some of that. The Functional Training Area is quite small and equipment wise is not that varied in my opinion. For someone who likes and needs to do farmer walks, and sled work there's not much space to play with. Sure there is a long strip where you "could" do farmer walks but depending on the time of day you go this varies if you can do it or not. This is because this long strip is between the Dumbbells and Machines and if its busy there are going to be people in the way and last thing I want to do is run over someone.Functional equipment that would be nice to have would be, Famer Handles, Heavier Kettlebells, TRX/Suspension ropes, a Log, sled, and an axel. I understand this gym caters more towards powerlifters and bodybuilders so I can't blame the gym for not having those sorts of things. But for me personally it is a turn off for me.The gym is relatively clean and I can't complain honestly but for some reason people just don't return their weights. I used to come early in the morning and weight would be everywhere, I know its not exactly the gyms fault for this but a little more of a push to get it's members to put their weights away would be nice.I have had trouble with some of the equipment, mainly the deadlift platforms and the incline benches. one of the deadlift platforms is not level and it's really annoying when setting up for the deadlift. I have also had the incline benches go down one level before starting a rep or finishing a rep and I think that can be really dangerous if I was in the middle of the rep. Everything else has worked as expected.I have honestly moved on to a new gym that better caters to my needs and if you like functional strength training that aren't as crowded when the MSU students come around M43 and the training Factories will fit your needs much better. Unfortunately through my own fault I am stuck to this gym through a 1 year contract so I am still paying for this gym when it just doesn't fit my needs. If I could sum up my review I would sayPros:24 hoursShowersLots of MachinesDecent amount of Squat Racks and Deadlift PlatformsFriendly StaffGood for BodybuildingGood for PowerliftingCons:Lacking in the Functional Area and Equipment DepartmentYearly contract AgreementsMembers can lack respectBusy during the school yearSome of the equipment could use some careNot Great for StrongmanNot Great for CrossFit
