Before I started the challenge I was skinny fat. I didn't feel happy at all about my body. I worked out a lot but nothing worked until I found you guys. The challenge was amazing. I love working out with Marc and Tim. They pushed me every day.I have learned a lot. I really learned that food was a huge part of me not seeing results before.Right now I feel great about my weight and how I'm looking. I really enjoyed working out here. I've enjoyed all my time here. It's really amazing. Everyone is different and what I've seen is that as long as the person doing the program does the work and follows the system then you will get results. That's what makes the difference.My overall experience was great. Everyone is so friendly and pushes you and welcome you at the same time.I dropped 5.6% body fat in 6 weeks and I can't wait to keep this lifestyle going.

Ascend Fitness is the REAL DEAL!!! Most people get skeptic when they hear things that sound too good to be true, but I promise you this is a true story. By participating in the 6 weeks 25-pound weight loss challenge, I went from being that guy that ate Jack in the box for breakfast, Chinese food for lunch, and Little Ceasars for dinner all in the same day, to a meal prepping, portion control, healthy food enthusiast.This transition was possible with the help of the meal plan and recipe guide provided by Ascend Fitness. In addition, I worked out with an Ascend Fitness trainer 3 times a week over the 6-week period, and I must say, they're all AWESOME!!! Very professional, patient, down-to-earth, and personable. I don't have a single complaint about any of the trainers, they all make you feel right at home. The environment is very inspiring, motivating, and fun as well.In just 6 weeks, I lost 30.4 pounds, my overall health is phenomenal, my blood pressure is back to normal (the best it's ever been in years), I had to add extra holes in my belt due to all the inches lost around my waist, and I have the energy of a teenager again. Apart from the physical fitness aspect, the 6-week challenge also helped me improve my mental fortitude and discipline which are skills that are transferable in all facets of life.All in all, Ascend Fitness is AWESOME, and definitely the place to be if you feel like you're equal to the challenge of transforming your life into a stronger, healthier, and happier version of yourself.Post Challenge Update:In as much as all the details mentioned above are true, it's important that I speak on my experience when it came time to get my deposit refunded upon completion of the challenge. What began as a positive experience, turned into a nightmare when it came time to collect. After about 3 weeks of not hearing anything from anyone I showed up to the premises in person to make an inquiry with one of the trainers but to no avail. In addition I had to call and send emails multiple times just to get my money back. During this phase I was in contact with Joey who happens to be a co-owner of Ascend Fitness. His explanation for the delay was that their bank account was attacked and therefore they had no funds to give me. Regardless of the incident that happened to their company, they should have actively notified customers about their issue and provided a definitive time-line on when they would have it resolved. Whenever I spoke to Joey, he was polite but there always seemed to be an element of negligence on refunding my money. All in all, Ascend is good at fitness but they definitely need to work on their administrative processes and customer service to ensure that they don't go from hero to zero.

When I started my 6 week program I weighed in at 180lbs with 37% body fat. The reason I joined the program was because I needed a kick start to help me find my way; health and fitness. The trainers, nutritionist, and the easy recipes made it so much easier to stay on track. Since the 6 weeks I lost 10 lbs and 7% body fat. This challenge has motivated me to keep working on my fitness journey and I have now joined the Ascend Fitness family.

Ascend is fantastic. The coaches have been great. With a customized meal plan that is simple as easy to follow, challenging work outs, and motivating coaches, success was the only option. I went from 219 lbs at 30% body fat down to 193 lbs and 20% body fat through completing the 6 week challenge. My self esteem has increased tremendously and I feel great, both emotionally and physically. I would definitely recommend this gym.

Before joining Ascend fitness Long Beach my relationship with food and exercise was very different. Upon joining Ascend I was able to get direction on how to eat and exercise to meet my goals. Even walking into health grocery stores prior was overwhelming because everything seemed expensive and I didn’t know how to nourish my body. I joined the 6 week challenge and learned how much and what I should be fueling my body with. My relationship with food has totally changed and and I feel good about exercising here because the classes are short and powerful. Just 30 minutes and I’m done. I was able to drop 10 pounds in six weeks. It’s very simple and a great way to kick start a health and fitness journey. I like the recipes they provide!! Yummy :)

I applied to the 6 week program for Ascend Fitness and successfully completed my goal with hard work and dedication. What's more is that, they keep you accountable so you drift off from your goal, they encourage you, and they know what specific exercise benefits your goal. My weight goal was to gain 10 pounds; I was 126 and in 6 weeks, I'm now 137. My chest came out more and I got a bit muscular than before and "if you look good, you feel good". You become closer to the trainers and it's just a really good environment to be in and around. And to be honest, you're gonna feel and know that this is worth the challenge. You personally will feel a lot better about yourself mentally and physically at the end of the day and at the end of the 6 week program.

This gym is beyond amazing!!! Positive vibes from absolutely everyone here! I started the 6 week challenge here at 188 pounds and ended it at 178. Besides the number not changing drastically, I went down from a size 16 to 10 in jeans and went from an XL shirt to M!!! And my clothing size changing is what pushed me to keep going because my body was changing greatly even if the scale didn’t drop as quickly. I feel so much stronger, the trainers here helped me push myself beyond I could ever imagine! The workouts are tiring but so much fun and very much worth it at the end of each workout! You feel energized and ready to take on the rest of your day! I love this place so much it’s very welcoming! It was a drag for me to go to the a traditional gym with the machines for months and only losing about 2-5 pounds in 3-4 months. And in only 6 weeks I was able to lose 10 pounds! I can’t imagine my progress continuing on here at Ascend fitness!!!
