I enjoy this facility and the staff - great equipment and people ... but, I exit fast if aerobic spin class is in session: hurts the ears, drowns out everything else - Way too loud and a contradiction for a place promoting good health. …

I am a CSULB student and feel privileged to have access to the world class gym for free.Very beautifully and well thought designed gym. Nice lockers, shower area is ok, machines are fab, swimming pool is great and love the basketball court.

Great gym especially during weekends. Group fitness is free and definitely worth utilizing. Water bottle refill stations and free workout towels are a big +. Only downsize is during peak hours it gets REALLY REALLY packed. Parking is a huge negative but that is only because of CSULB.

I've been coming here since it opened. Overall it's a great gym. Nice equipment, clean, and plenty of lockers. Some minor complaints: The spin class is in the open so the blaring music can be heard throughout the whole gym. It's really annoying when you're trying to workout close to the class.People don't know how to put weights back where they belong.

My go to gym during the summer and winter breaks. I also utilize the rec during the semester in between classes and its awesome just seeing everyone and how diverse the CSULB community is. During the semester, weekends aren't as crowded but I can't say the same for in between classes. However, everyone is friendly and being in an environment that encourages fitness through a variety of different activities such as basketball, racquetball, rock climbing, indoor soccer, fitness classes, weight lifting, the opportunities are endless. For anyone who goes to CSULB, definitely take advantage of this state-of-the-art facility. I love this place.

You can tell the building is new. The outside and inside look great. It's clean and spacious inside. They have open indoor courts, swimming pool and spa, indoor track, and plenty more. The staff is friendly.

I honestly could not have wished for a better gym. The indoor track and dance room with the mirrors are those extra unexpected touches that I love to work out in!! Everyone is super friendly. And plus, CSULB is the best anyway. ;)

I used to think nothing could beat the UCI gym, but CSULB's is much better! For one they have a rock wall! And if you're a student you're allowed to try it out once for free. But they should just make it free for everyone. Bench's can get busy at times but its a really nice gym and I wish I could still go here.
