British Swim School at Esporta Fitness – Melbourne

The swim instructors have all had a special way of putting our child, and us, at ease to have fun and enjoy learning together. The swim school ambassadors are always very present, super friendly, and ready to answer any questions we have. Classes start and end exactly on time-very well organized.

I discontinued my swim lessons early given several unpleasant experiences with British Swim School (BSS) of Melbourne. Refer to Yelp reviews as Google algorithm will not allow me to post a full review!

Everyone is friendly and the teachers are patient and knowledgeable. My toddler is always calm and happy when she’s there. She loves to swim! I definitely recommend.

We could not be more pleased with the professional, caring, well-trained staff of British Swim School. Our three kids love their lessons and it’s a joy to watch them work through such an excellent curriculum. Even our little (3 year old) Starfish can’t wait to get there and talks about it all week! Keep up the great work. We highly recommend this team!

Mr. Will is great. I wish there were more morning classes for minnows during the week. Afternoon is around naptimes for many kids under 5.

This is a swim school where they are"dedicated" to helping your child learn how to swim. I have watched many many lessons and seen children absolutely terrified of the water progress to little swimmers. They are very dedicated to each child. Their classes are small and individualized. You can see the genuine concern for each child's needs. They are very accommodating to scheduling. All they ask is 24 hrs notice, and they allow ample make-up time. The school provides year-round lessons, a big plus! It is a family-oriented environment. Very personal. I can't say enough good things about this school! Learning to swim is so very important, and it takes time. I highly recommend this school!

I was very pleased with the progress they make with my little one. They are clam and collected and do not have many people in the class which help is the distractions and all students get good one on one time. The app is very easy to use. We are sad to leave the program due to relocation but are so happy we could have used them for the time we did! Worth every penny!

My son has been attending lessons for a year now and we both love it! The staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming, they’re experts at turning what can be an intimidating experience into a fun one for the kids. The office staff are also very organized and helpful. Overall a great experience! However, beware you will get the songs stuck in your head!

We have been with British Swim School for 2 years now. Their teaching method aligns with our parenting method, and our boys respond very well. When the boys have a bad day, the instructors will take it easy. But when there are days when all the stars align, they will push their boundaries and try new skills.They have been flexible with sicknesses/vacations with doing make-up swim lessons, within a reasonable timeframe.They teach that swimming is fun! When learning new skills, it is ok to be hesitant or scared. But they empower the little ones through their patience and reassuring, and firm words.If you want your child to learn to swim in a day, this is not for you. But if you want your child to foster a love and respect for the pool, this is for you. Believe me, we have had some rough lessons, but it has been worth it. Both of our children love the water, but understand the boundaries of the pool so they don't jump into every pool they see. But if they did fall in, they would be able to float and get to the side of the pool and "monkey walk, monkey walk in the swimming pool" to the steps.
