Good size gym, was in town visiting but this gym was very dirty and equipment needs some much needed maintenance

I wanted to join this gym because it is close by my home, but the last two times I stopped by to sign up during staffed hours (about 5:30pm on a weekday each time), it was locked and a customer coming out told me the manager had left early. Most people have to work all day till 5pm and cannot get over there until that last staffed hour; I'd think they'd know that. But I guess attracting new customers is not that important here, so I'll keep looking.

I have never experienced such poor customer service/management. I transferred my contract because this gym was too expensive for what it offered and it just didn't fit my needs. The manager, Lauren, doesn't seem to know much about the workings of the gym and is an extremely poor communicator. I went into the gym with the individual I was to sell my membership to on 6/26/14. We both signed all necessary paperwork, paid the transfer fee, I gave her my key fob, and I was told I the membership was transferred. I originally had a tanning package attached to my contract, $10 extra per month. Lauren told the new member that she could drop that package. She was then told a few days later that was not indeed the case. When asked by Lauren to come in and sign a revised contract with the tanning package included, the new member decided not to go through with the transfer. I had been told all transactions were complete. I am now being told that everything was negated, all PAPERWORK WE SIGNED INCLUDING THE CONTRACT HAD BEEN SHREDDED and I am once again stuck with membership. Keep in mind, the manager has not once called me. I've called and emailed several times. I have already signed up with another gym and it now appears I'll be stuck with my Anytime contract. I've requested the owner's information and was told that information could not be shared. A more experienced manager needs to be available. It was the manager's fault for providing false information regarding the pricing of the contract. I'm also fairly certain it's not legal to SHRED documents after they have been signed by all parties involved because an employee provided incorrect information and made an error.There are too many great gyms out there that offer many more amenities, better customer service, no contracts, and better prices. Don't sign up here!

I was a member with Anytime Fitness before I had ever thought I would be working for this wonderful company. I signed up in Eagle over two years ago, and have never been disappointed with the equipment or the environment. I loved the fact that EVERY kind of person felt comfortable in AF; in shape, not so good shape, body builders, new to the gym culture, workout veterans, young, old, everyone!! I have been a part of the gym and health/fitness culture since I was a young girl, going to a super cool underground gym with my father started it all. Currently, I am the early morning manager out at the Meridian and Ustick club, and Kris Owen is the afternoon/evening manager. We are here to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for all of our members and guests, and apologize for anything that has happened in the past.
