We were here for 2.5 years and left.Ultimately, we left because my daughter was hit, scratched, had her leotard ripped off her shoulder, licked, wet willied, etc. from another little girl. (Every single class there are children who act this way) When I brought it to attention I got the sad eyes from coaches but ultimately nothing was done so I was forced to protect her myself and leave the facility. This behavior was on "pre-team." Which the entire thing is a joke. You can only get onto pre team through invitation from a coach, so you'd assume they take it seriously. The preteam class is HUGE, probably around 20 or more girls. They do not have enough qualified coaches to handle a group that big, especially when 90% of the class is unruly & horribly behaved. The majority of the class, the coaches are confused about where to even take the group of girls around the gym. It is incredibly unorganized. If it was a regular 5 year old class, fine be unorganized and confused, but if I'm paying over $100 for my daughter to "train for team," then you better train her for the team. The coaches should NEVER accept little girls onto pre-team who have zero listening skills and then use the excuse, "well they're 4 and 5 years old, so we don't expect them to listen all the time." Great, then keep them on the regular 4 - and 5 year old classes. Don't invite them to preteam. Don't start a pre team if your facility doesn't have the man power, knowledge, or ability to train for team.If you actually want your kids taught skill and techniques, they probably won't get that here unless you pay a TON for one on one coaching or get favored by a coach. Most of the coaches stand around and stare at eachother or converse while the kids get no direction and start to misbehave. Most of the coaches are straight out of high-school and act like babysitters.

Our whole experience was less than ideal. Today I brought my 3 year old daughter in for her first class. The front desk gal didn’t greet us, I had to walk up to her and ask where to go and what to do, even then she didn’t show us around she just pointed and said “over there in the corner”. When class started the teacher didn’t acknowledge my daughter at all which caused my daughter to not want to join the class. My daughter has been doing gymnastics and she was 18 months old and she loves it so this was very out of character for her. The teacher never said one word to her or encouraged her to come over and join the class. She just kept standing there. I then gave up trying to get my daughter to join the class and left. I let the front desk know that she didn’t want to join the class and that the teacher did not even acknowledge her presence to which they said “oh, okay….” we were offered a morning class with a different teacher, but we can only do afternoon classes. We will be finding another gym and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My daughter (6) has been on the girls level 1 team for about 6 months and she loves it! The coaches are very nice but strict. She has learned a lot and I feel she has become a lot stronger!

Our twin boys have been a part of Men's Competition team at Danik for the last couple of years. I can't speak more highly of the Men's Competitive Team here! Coach Cort is a talented coach, instilling discipline, teamwork, etc. It is not uncommon to see the program at the top of the podium at numerous state/regional/national events. We love this program!!!

My experience at Danik has been like no other. Coach Grayson is such a nice and handsome young man, and his knowledge of the sport is unmatched. If you ever go to Danik and get the chance to meet Coach Grayson, remember you have just been blessed by a higher power. Boys and Girls Teams are amazing. Wouldn't recommend team for people not willing to work hard. Overall Experience: 100/10!

My 3 boys wanted to try tumbling at this place. My 9 and 8 year old were in tumbling class and my 4 yr old in super tots. We did a trial classes. The older ones actually had a great time. Coach Jackson was amazing. I watched him actually teach my kids and correct their form. My boys were ecstatic and even had him come talk to me after class to make sure they could stay in his class. Super impressed with Coach Jackson and his eagerness to help the kids that were struggling. Not impressed with the super tots class. The coach was nice, but didn’t seem to enjoy what she was doing. The kids would each take turns on one thing then take a water break. It was a water break after everything. I feel this was a very wasteful way to spend the hour. There was little to no correction in regards to form and/or teaching. It was this is a trampoline, jump…this is a beam…walk on it. These are children that are little sponges. They want to learn and deserve to be taught. Nothing against teenage coaches, but of the ones I watched, I was not impressed. With the exception of coach Jackson and another female with long brown hair teaching girls on the bars. They were actually teaching and correcting their students. The rest were busy talking and not paying attention. I’m guessing they are cheap labor as opposed to an experienced adult coach. The gym is nice and big. The equipment seems to be in good shape. However, I would recommend this place take a real dive into how the coaches are portraying the facility. Families are paying for a service and it needs to be professionally delivered. Maybe try to avoid cramming several different age groups all in the same area.

We have made the mistake of being in gymnastics with Danik for over a year. Our daughter started in the beginner class.Communication: There was ZERO communication except maybe an occasional slip of paper sent home a week or so before a skills showcase;. classes are canceled on some holidays but not others, skills showcases, progression of programs and many other details went completely unaddressed. We have never been in gymnastics so we went with the flow and kept taking her. She said she liked it. Then she got bored, so we switched her to tumbling. She loved it at first. She had a male coach who was attentive and really worked on skills with the class. There were a few times where she would have a sub and they would just chat with the other coaches the entire time and left the girls to kind of do whatever they wanted.Cost: They kept upping the price and because we were autopay, we had to take note ourselves. It’s a dollar more to get a family membership to the YMCA, which you can use more than once a week.We paid extra for her to do the winter skills showcase. She got a medal and a certificate. It was disorganized and boring.Customer Service: the literal worst. The coaches looked miserable with the exception of the pre-k kids coach. She looked warm and inviting. No one ever greeted you from the front desk. And when I went to withdraw, I was given a sheet of paper to fill out. No one ever called me to address my concerns.Team building: None. My kiddo didn’t even know the names of the kids in her classes and to be honest, people come and go so frequently (here’s your sign) that I’m not sure they could do any.It was an all around mess. We gave them loooots of time to improve and it didn’t. Learn from our mistake. Avoid it.

If your child doesn't already show a natural aptitude for gymnastics this is not the place for you. The beginner classes are chaotic, unstructured and very little corrective coaching is done to improve form. That coupled with the fact that coaches are never the same from week to week creates an environment where no one knows your child's strengths or weaknesses and they perform the same exact series of movements every class. We have been going for about a year and I have seen the kids that have natural talent be pulled into an intermediate class where they recieve real coaching and show marked improvement each week. So unless you can afford private lessons the average child will just move up age groups. We will continue to go only because my daughter loves the social outlet and it's good exercise.

This is the worst gym I've been to. Not in regards to equipment, but in regards to coaching. We moved here a few years ago and I enrolled my children in gymnastics. My daughter had been in gymnastics from the age of two and she was now 7. The first issue is the chaos with parking and overall seating space for parents. This is not a big deal if your kids are being coached really well. My son was in the 3-year-old class and my daughter was in a 7-year-old class. None of their coaches looked older than 15 or 16 years old. My son's teenage coach paid little, If any attention to the young boys. She would show them what to do and then sit there as they did it. They didn't help with form or anything. This was the same with my daughter's class. My 3-year-old son would get distracted and leave the group and the coach would just shrug her shoulders and let him run around. This meant that at every class I had to go in there with him and help her coach all the toddlers in the class. It was just pure chaos here. We eventually left and found a better gym up the road.
