Poorly air conditioned, multiple broken machines for long periods of time, even more machines missing handle bars. I've let staff know many times and they say they will do something about but never do.

I've been to this gym multiple times and mind my own business. I go to get stressed free and every time i want to buy anything the girl that's their every weekend never never has change. She sends me to McDonald's for change and let me just say I'm paying with a 10 dollar bill and buying 3 drinks. When i started asking why she doesn't have change she said she does but cant give me change. When i called my brother in law for some change she started talking to him in spanish making it seem like i was just starting problems and little did she know i speak spanish too. I ask for a manager and she said there wasn't one there and said that i had to leave or she was going to cancel my membership and get escorted out. And this all just cause she doesn't have change but she had said that there was 150 in the register. When i walked away a member walked in the door to sign in she started talking about me without knowing my husband was right there on the side hearing her.if the gym is for a strees free and a place for motivation why have workers there to ruin it. She ruined my weekend.

I find that it is a great gym "IF" it was clean I tried moving from McHenry north just because its like 2min from my home.But after going there for a few days found that I could not take how dirty it was..you never see staff cleaning equipment or the sauna that place is soo discussing, people leave towefeet.n the floor.as well as paper towelsAnd if you talk about the weight room nothing is ever in its place..oh and the kids are smells like stinky feet. I've talked to some people that go there and agree with me they just go there because of conveniences not because they love going there.I tried talking about this with staff and there solution was maybe going to a different location?? Instead of addressing the issues. There membership is a bit pricey and can afford more staff to keep it clean.

I was at a zumba/ ?, and got kicked out by the instructor Thursday mornings for making my own modifications! Not all of us are coordinated to move our legs and arms on our first class-very rude!!

My son and I signed up with Anthony Todd at the Floyd Avenue I/S. a while back. We had some discussions and I apparently misunderstood or rather heard something of a different nature about some of the contract requriements. Long story short, Anthony Todd is a man of his word and goes out of the way, above and beyond , to make sure clients enjoy the In Shape experience. Thank you Anthony. No wonder Anthony was already promoted when we tried to contact him!

I have been going to this In-Shape for about 2 years. Today when I arrived the person at the counter was busy and I had to wait, which isn't a huge deal, once checked in he called me back to the counter and told me I did not have access to this specific In-Shape. Mind you, I was REALLY looking forward to getting a good workout in... A "District Manger" by the name of "Victor Ramos" was called to assist me to sort things out and told me I would have to pay two times the amount I've currently been paying. However, he wasn't very helpful. He was quick to terminate my account, after I briefly mentioned wanting to cancel. I was VERY disappointed, since I have been a member for a while, 3+ years. He wasn't able to problem solve effectively. I have been a loyal member and that broke the trust I had with this company. It's all about how you convey yourself and approach, especially if you're a leader within the company. I have had my opinions about this specific In-Shape, but haven't cared enough to express them in writing. Hence, now I see it as an appropriate time to vent frustrations. Many times coming in I would not get greeted while the staff stood around talking amongst themselves. There were also times where I had to check myself in because again they were too busy talking to each other, at least that's how it appeared to me. I have worked retail for about 7 years, so I am really particular about my guest experience. I really don't seek for much when it comes to customer service, just a simple genuine hello with eye contact would make me feel acknowledged and appreciated. On a separate occasion my car had gotten broken into at this In-Shape's parking lot where items were stolen... They were unable to assist in video footage due to the manager being out. I left my number and never received a call, even when I called to follow up no one could help. Again, it took me a while to build up trust to go to that In-Shape... I am very dissatisfied with this company. I would NOT recommend family, friends, or even acquaintances to enroll into this gym (at any location, but DEFINITELY not the Prescott In-Shape). I am a semi-athletic person and enjoy going to the gym, but it's time for me to move on and go to a well-rounded, guest service orientated gym. The free weight room is always a mess, weights on the floor, dumbbells are never in the correct place and the front desk employee is always socializing instead of working. I'd recommend the Pelandale location over this one.
