This gym is conveniently located in the right location and the vibe is just right for a comfortable workout setting and I really enjoyed personal training with Sara.

Had a guest pass. Nobody available to help me with paperwork for over 30 mins. Gym is very small. Equipment is close together. My friend is trying to get me to sign up but it's not worth it IMO.

My family had a membership at Planet Fitness for many years, but we grew weary of the filth, the unappealing atmosphere, and the apathy of the ever-changing staff. We began looking for a different gym in Murfreesboro, and we saw positive reviews for Anytime Fitness. The membership is more expensive, but as the adage goes, "You get what you pay for!" The positive, fitness-centric environment and sense of community at the New Salem location are superb. Like any business, AF is not without issues; however, the staff and owners try their best to mitigate problems as they arise. Over the past year we have seen several upgrades (e.g., new treadmills, re-upholstered equipment, etc.). We recently renewed our membership, and we also continued our weekly personal training sessions. We have trained with Carissa Peterson for the past two years; she is amazing! Her passion to help people become healthier is evident in her coaching style. Carissa listens to us, amending workouts as necessary to fit our needs and schedule. Because of our personal training sessions, we are stronger and healthier.

When I signed up for the membership it was at a newer gym in a different state very spacious and clean. However this gym is too small and I only went a handful of times and felt uncomfortable with how close some of the machines were. A gentleman was biking and lifting smaller weights and his sweat was getting on me because of how close the two bikes were. When I called to verify my membership was ending the woman on the phone was very nice until I said where I was going to instead. I felt like I was being interrogated for leaving. All she did was bash the other gym for many things including its lack of cleanliness and lack of heavier weights. Very unprofessional in my opinion and also I never seen anyone clean a machine after use at anytime fitness. I have never experienced a wait time or uncleanliness at my current gym. When I ended the conversation I said I hope you have a great day and her response was okay thanks.

Sara is my trainer and she is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Helps me when I’m struggling to finish a set and give the encouragement I need. You want someone that will push you to succeed…Sara is it! I’m blessed to have her as my trainer!

I love the fact that there isn't much traffic to the area. Its why I pay 20 more than I would at say Planet Fitness. I figure the gas, time spent in traffic Is worth 20 more. I also like the fact it's 24 hours. It fits with my lifestyle. You have enough equipment and weights to use. Most of it is in good shape. I did however buy my own ankle straps and barbell cushion because theirs was uncomfortable. It's just me.. picky.

Used to love this gym. Small, but had everything I needed. Nowadays with the new management, the bottle water fountain has been broken for over two months. The music is never on at nights. Only two sets of barbell clips for the entire gym. Plus the signage is becoming ridiculous. Starting to remind me of Planet Fitness just without the Lunk Alarm. Sad this is the only Anytime Fitness option in Murfreesboro.

Tbh it was great at first until they got rid of half the equipment. Staff is either never there or pretty rude. They gym key is too small to place a keychain on it. The prices were raised out of nowhere with no warning and still had to give a 30 day notice when I finished my membership. It’s so small that at the times I was able to go there was no equipment available to use because of how crowded it got. The snacks are such high prices and the water fountains only work every now and again. It seems like something always broken or getting removed. Overall wouldn’t recommend it unless you just want a place to tan because the tanning bed rarely gets used so you’ll defiantly be able to get into that.

Anytime Fitness on Salem Rd is a good facility for all ages. There is a wide variety of machines and enough that there is no waiting in line. It includes a back room for classes and floor work. The wide age range of members allows anyone to feel comfortable there. They have trainers who really work to improve your specific needs and don't just use standard routines for all. The new owners have cleaned areas that had been ignored by the previous owners.Good all around facility for all fitness levels.
