My Boro gym for three years, and it's the best place for me to train my mind, body, and soul here. Everyone is nice, especially Professor Gabe, and his staff are second to none in training when it comes to students.

Coach Gabriel is an avid competitor at the world class level and runs a strong program at Legion.

Legion feels like my second home. Professor Gabriel is an amazing instructor that clearly has a love for teaching jiu jitsu. As a 37 year old, I wish I started this journey earlier.

My son has been attending classes here for 8 months now. I have been very impressed with both Coach Jared and Professor Gabriel. They are the perfect balance of business and fun. It has been great exercise as well as self defense and confidence building for my son. I would definitely recommend any of the kids classes for your children young and older.

Our son Joshua has been attending Legion Jiu Jitsu/Checkmat since their first night opening on March 1, 2018 at the Murfreesboro, TN location. Professor Gabriel has such grace and dignity with which he carries himself permeates the attitude throughout the entire school. He is there personally teaching and instructing classes all of the time. He is one of the finest patient coaches you can find anywhere. He is always willing to explain both the physical/technical as well as spiritual breakdown of the art of Jiu Jitsu. We plan to have our son continue his education in the art of Jiu Jitsu with Legion Jiu Jitsu/Checkmat Murfreesboro and Professor Gabriel.

I began training at Legion BJJ’s Murfreesboro location just over a month ago. In that time, I have had so many people welcome me and make me feel a part of the Legion community. From instructors to classmates everyone seems to be invested in my success. Training at Legion has improved both my physical fitness and my mental preparedness. Classes are tough, but when they are over I feel that I have pushed myself and have a great sense of accomplishment. If I can start training BJJ at nearly 50 years old then anybody can and Legion is a great place to begin that journey!

Legion Jiu Jitsu is Murfreesboro is a great place for anyone looking to train Jiu Jitsu at any level. Professor Gabriel really brings his knowledge and experience and makes everyone feel welcome. Programs are family friendly and I and my kids look forward to classes. At age 35, my only regret is that I did not start training sooner.

Legion Jiu-Jitsu in Murfreesboro is a safe and friendly environment for my son. He’s 5 years old and has a great time with all the other kids in and around his age. We’ve been members at Legion for about 5 months now. Professor Gabriel and Coach Jared does an outstanding job with the Little Legionnaires. They instill confidence and discipline in a positive environment. I highly recommend Legion for kids.

We just moved to the area and Jiu Jitsu was one of the first things on our list to find for my son and I. We have been training for years and wanted to get right to it. Legion has been the most welcoming family to us. We feel like we have joined an amazing group of people and professors. We love the atmosphere, the learning and the push going on here. One of my favorite things about here is the schedule. You will find a class that works with your training schedule. Great for beginners and for people ready to train for competition. My husband and I decided to sign our daughter ( 9yrs old at the time) up 2 years ago for self defense. Legion Jiu Jitsu has done wonders on her self confidence, has embraced us as family to the point our 3 year old, my husband and myself have joined. Professor Gab is a great teacher, always encouraging. He and the other coaches have created a positive and inclusive environment. I love being apart of Legion.
