I visited this gym for 2 weeks while on vacation from Houston. I have visited many gyms over the years and none have welcomed me as warmly and readily as Chonburi. I HIGHLY recommend this gym for anybody looking for real and quality Muay Thai, you will not regret it.

No matter what skill level, if you are a looking for a place to train Muay Thai in Nashville, this is the spot!Muay Thai is a very humbling practice, but Chonburi Muay Thai makes it so much less intimidating with its qualified coaches and all of the wonderful people who attend. I have made incredible friends at Chonburi, who I know will remain in my life for a long time! The classes are designed to push you, but I have never felt like form was ever overlooked. Any bit of advice that any of the coaches give me (Coach Bruce, David, Hannah, Stephen, etc.) I know I can trust because they know Muay Thai and are constantly improving in their practice as well. Training can get tough, especially around fight camp season, but to me, that's just part of the experience.. and what I signed up for!Thank you, Chonburi Muay Thai, for helping me grow mentally and physically. I can't wait to be back in the gym!

Having never done any kind of martial art before, I was super nervous the first time I went to a class. The nerves went away pretty quickly because this gym is so amazing. The general atmosphere is extremely welcoming, and it doesn't matter if you are a true novice or a very experienced fighter. All of the coaches are genuinely invested in your improvement and that is a sentiment shared by the members too.But in addition to the open and friendly vibe of the gym, the coaching is top notch and truly excellent. It doesn’t matter which coach is leading a class, you will get a great workout with clear instructions and demos. Coaches are always ready to help you out in class if you're confused about a combo or after class if you need advice on a technique. Coach Bruce sets a high standard, and you will absolutely improve if you put in the work at this gym.Be advised, the gym gets seriously hot in the summer, so do not forget to bring water and stay hydrated. For real though, if you've been curious about trying Muay Thai there is pretty much no better place to start.

Not a kickboxing "exercise" gym, you get to learn and apply real sparring techniques. I've been doing private lessons with Bruce and Jason along with group classes and I can't express how much I've learned in just the few months I've been here.It is very much like a traditional martial arts studio in that it is very disciplined. Seems very welcoming to all walks of life but there are also expectations that you are respectful to everyone about their time and of course making sure you are always prepared for class.

I’ve been at chonburi for about 3 years now, and I continue to be impressed with coach Bruce, all the coaches under him, and the vast majority of people who come into the space. Everyone there wants to see you grow in the sport, from coaches, to fighters, to teammates, you can always find someone there willing to help you. I have been taking privates with Bruce since day 1. My intro into Muay Thai was a private session with coach Bruce, and we haven’t stopped laughing together since. Bruce has always been very patient with me, I tend to be my worst critic, so I can get frustrated with myself during sessions. Bruce (and all of the other coaches) are great at reconginzing that frustration, and helping me redirect it and focus on the technique. When I first started I was only interested in learning because I had tried out a cardio kickboxing gym and wanted to learn actual technique. In the time I have been there, my desire to just learn technique turned into a desire to fight. Bruce took that seriously, and helped me make that happen. I had my first fight ever this year, and will continue to train and fight with Coach Bruce and the CMT team! If you’re looking for a place that teaches real Muay Thai, AND creates a community environment that is very inviting, I highly recommend checking out CMT. Not only is Bruce incredibly patient and kind, AND very knowledgeable, but all of the people under him who coach has the same passion for helping people learn. Chiké teaches a great clinch class, Stephen, Ron, David, DC, Jason all teach amazing beginner level classes, Hannah and Aaron are incredible with kids. I truly can’t say enough about how incredible this place is and all the people there. Not only have I learned Muay Thai technique, but I have learned more about discipline, respect for others and myself, and what it means to be apart of a team.If you’re looking for a real Muay Thai experience, it’s here. The gym is HOT, but I find as long as I stay hydrated, I am fine. If you enjoy fun challenges, learning every time you’re there, and creating great friendships, this is the place.

My gym for almost a year now! Love the coaches, atmosphere, workout schedules. The coaches really know how to teach, and they are serious about fight prep! Coach Bruce has built a special place here! I get very productive and personally tailored private 1-on-1 training sessions with Coach David. Coach Chike teaches a great clinch class. All of the coaches do a wonderful job. I am excited to train here for a very long time!

Without a doubt, the best Muay Thai gym in Middle Tennessee. I've been around the martial arts scene for quite some time and can spot sketchy gyms and big headed students/coaches. This isn't one of those gyms. Everyone helps each other here …

As someone who's been around gyms in Middle TN for over 6 years now this is the best Muay Thai gym in Nashville! Very friendly environment and a big facility to learn in. I recommend training with Kru Bruce to any adults and children wanting to learn, from beginners to advanced practitioners! My first time there I was immediately impressed with the gym and Bruces methods of teaching a beginner like myself. Kids classes are usually held in the front half of the gym. I highly recommend bringing your little ones to learn Muay Thai, as it's not only proven to help with physical health but improves psychological well being in young children as well. Learning to have confidence and to be independent in decision making but also learning team work along the way. 10/10 will be returning to train here again!
