I have been receiving personal fitness training and massage at Bliss Fitness and Health, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. My trainer Carrie is awesome, and Mona is an excellent massage therapist and is helping me work out my tight shoulders and neck from excess computer work. Looking forward to taking classes there as well!

I was so lucky to find Bliss! I had been considering finding a personal trainer to help with my fitness goals for a while, and Mona is just about the best I could have hoped for. The studio is very focused on what the client's goals are, what is important to that person, and how to achieve those goals in a healthy way. I feel like Mona pays very close attention to my form and progress, and is always mindful of injury or other body issues. For me it's a shoulder issue, so she modifies exercises as needed and checks in to make sure we're not aggravating anything. The studio itself is warm and inviting with a great set of gear and different areas for different things. And there is easy and free street parking! I *highly recommend* Bliss and Mona for any and all training/fitness/strength/conditioning needs!

What an absolute gem of a gym Bliss Fitness is – I have never found such a supportive, inclusive, and kind group of people to work out with! Every class is uniquely crafted to combine powerful workouts with so many elements of fun sprinkled throughout. Being a member here has reminded me of how much joy moving my body can bring, and I'm so grateful to the entire team (especially to the owner Mona, who is an absolute energizer bunny of inspiration) for creating this magical space!

I am so fortunate to have discovered Bliss Fitness. When I first started going to Bliss (first for classes, then for both personal training and classes), I had recently given birth to my first child and was hit with the realization that I needed to be physically stronger and more fit so that I could do all the things that I wanted to do with him.Through personal training and attending classes at Bliss, I have developed an awareness of the muscles of my body that I never thought possible. This gives me tools to check in with my body — no matter what I’m doing — to ensure that I’m using the appropriate muscles and helping to guard myself from being hurt.The owner of Bliss Fitness, Mona, has so many super powers. Among them is her ability to make working out fun and to help you develop that body awareness that allows you to connect what you’re doing to the body part doing it. I literally never know I had lats before working out with her. Now I know what my lats are and how to engage them when cooking, working out — even sitting at my computer!When I started at Bliss, I had been nursing a three year knee energy. The Bliss instructors and trainers worked with me to strengthen the muscles around my knee and change my movement patterns. I used to avoid squats and would have to brace myself before doing them. Now, I do squats when gardening just cause I can and it feels so good to use my body in a purposeful way.Working with Bliss has made me stronger, increased my endurance, and given me an appreciation for exercise that I NEVER thought possible, so much more confidence, and even love for my body.

Bliss Fitness and Health is one of the best experiences I've ever had when it comes to working out! Mona is an incredibly caring, knowledgeable, well-trained, inclusive instructor/owner/human. She creates a safe environment for those that come to the studio and it feels like a community of all the best people that attend. The classes are so much fun. Rebel Recess is my personal favorite since it is a good mix of cardio and strength, and provides ample time for goofiness and laughter depending on whatever creative workout Mona has thought up for the day. Bliss Fitness is a beautiful, clean, and welcoming gym in Oakland, CA for all fitness levels. I've recently started up again with TRX class, which is an incredible full body workout without it feeling too strenuous -- I can appreciate that! If you want to ease back into it, try the new stretching class or yoga with Shanti. I've enjoyed a great boost in my energy after taking just one class.I am hooked! Working out is seriously FUN at Bliss Fitness! Also, the owner Mona knows body movement well (also is a massage therapist and personal trainer) and I've recently learned she gives a great foam rolling class!

I love Mona and the Bliss community!! The full body workouts are fun with great music and lots of variety. Mona has deep anatomy knowledge and provides modifications for any fitness level. Her energy and levity make it a wonderful experience every time. I'm getting great results while enjoying myself. I am happy and proud to support a small, woman-owned studio versus a chain, run-of-the-mill gym.Mona also gives amazing massage. She is intuitive, strong, gentle and talented in providing a relaxing environment to allow your stress to melt away. She will customize the experience to meet what you need that day - be it working out the muscle knots or just some relaxing touch. Bliss is truly an appropriate name for this studio, both in the workouts offered as well as the massage.

Been going to this gym for years and I love the classes, the space and the friends I have made there. What has been really inspiring is Mona's commitment to providing virtual classes during shelter in place. No equipment needed and a great workout! Thanks to Mona and all the teachers at Bliss Fit.

This is the most beautiful studio I've ever worked out in. And the instructors are so fun and knowledgeable. I've been getting personal training from Mona Meline and she is the best trainer I've had, and I've had several over the years. She creates workouts for me based on my need for variety. She makes sure I'm really warmed up beforehand and stretched out after my workout. She also provides me with a lavender scented cold cloth that is heaven on my hot sweaty face and neck. My strength, endurance, balance, and range of motion have significantly improved since we started training. I've also been benefiting from a monthly massage at Bliss with a therapist who is able to offer feedback to my trainer about the subtle aspects of my body and what areas need more attention, or how I might be favoring one side over another. It's like I have a team behind me. I just can't say enough about this place.

Bliss is the best fitness studio in Oakland — all the instructors are super encouraging and motivating, and the owner has created a truly inclusive and beautiful space where everyone feels good and tries their hardest. I love Bliss! Always such a good and engaging workout. I leave sore but happy every time!
