I absolutely love Orange Theory Oakland-Montclair! The space is so fun and dynamic, with a great energy that really gets you pumped up for your workout. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they really make you feel like part of the community. One of the things I appreciate most about Orange Theory is the focus on group workouts and your individual goals. It's always more fun to exercise with other people, and the camaraderie at Orange Theory is second to none. The coaches are great at getting everyone involved and encouraging everyone to push themselves to there best.Overall, I highly recommend Orange Theory Oakland-Montclair to anyone looking for a fun, dynamic, and community-oriented workout experience. The coaches are top-notch, the workouts are challenging and rewarding, and the atmosphere is always positive and upbeat. If you're looking for a place to get fit and have fun, look no further than Orange Theory Oakland-Montclair

The folks at OTF Montclair have been nothing but the best since day one! I was skeptical about the theory at first but decided to give it a try and have been at it for two months straight. Although it's the same three blocks - treadmill, water rowing and weight training, every session is a new adventure and I've never not got a good sweat in.But more importantly than exercises are the people who staff the place. Initially I had a little hiccup related to payment and thought I was gonna have to haggle back and forth but I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative when all it took was a few text in less than a day to remedy the situation. The front desk team is always bright and bushy-tailed in the morning when I come in which sets an excellent tone and creates a positive culture. Most of my classes are with Coach Danielle. She's very intentional about checking in 1:1 and making sure we know what muscles we're working and that we maintain good form with all the exercises. Combined with the monitoring system, it's like having a highly personalized trainer! With all that being said, the difference maker for me is the vibe Coach Danielle creates with her playlist which leans towards the hip-hop side. It definitely sounds/feels like a party and helps get that extra rep/incline/speed in!

The coaches are great and the staff friendly. My issue is that if you are a premier member and forget your heart monitor they want to charge $10. Which is ridiculous. Also, it would be great if the music wasn’t always the same. The beat never changes is always pounding. I’ve been to plenty of workouts with other beats that work just as well.

I'm a fan! And I'm someone that has worked out my entire life. In fact, the OTF folks in montclair have made me a super fan--and I know a thing or two about that because I ran Marketing for the Golden State Warriors. It's not because the facilities are pristine, or the great location, or even the power of the underlying theory. It is, to me, all about the staff and coaches--those you interact with on a daily basis.Having extraordinary front staff like Hannah, for example, is one of the most powerful aspects to happiness and retention. Not only is Hannah really good at what she does, she remembers members and greets you by name. This is priceless. The coaches are committed, energetic, and demonstrate a true commitment to the theory and program.I think there are places in the model that I feel is a little nickel & dime-ing, but I understand the reasoning. As a whole, I am thrilled with the program and my results.

I go to this studio 5-6x a week. I’m sure they’re sick of me by now. The coaches are amazing. I take the 6am class during the week usually, so Coaches Danielle and Kristen are great! I especially love Danielle’s music choice as she is one of the few across mostvstudios who plays primarily hip hop.The staff is amazing, too! Super friendly and they seem to know everyone by name. They’re also very responsive to my questions and requests I send via phone, text, or on social media. If you are planning on checking this studio out, keep in mind there is no designated parking lot, so be prepared to look for (and pay for) metered parking. There is also a garage a few blocks away if you’re willing to walk. Just don’t park in the Safeway lot because they will ticket/tow you. Oh, and Starbuck’s is right next door, so be prepared to spend money after class if you don’t have willpower like me.My only “negative” about this location is the small lobby, so it can feel tight before and after classes. We’ve been able to make due though and I might have even made some new friends because of how intimate the space is!

Love Alameda an Emeryville studios. This new Montclair studio is closer to home and I love the new equipment. Sadly, front desk staff is really unfriendly, and the coaches I’ve had are just meh. It’s surprising that classes are overbooked and the studio puts off such an air of superiority!. For me it’s worth trekking time to go to a friendly studio with happy helpful people.😊

As a long time weight lifter and marathoner I was skeptical about joining a group HIIT gym but those doubts were cast aside after a few sessions. Having a coach push me has allowed me to pack in a much better workout in a shorter amount of time. After 25 sessions, going roughly twice a week, I feel like I'm in one of the best shapes of my life (even amid holiday indulgences). The front desk is beyond nice. Hannah usually greets me by name and lets me choose where to start. They remember little things about me and are authentically nice. Even though I live beside the Oakland OTF that is about to open, I will probably still go to this one because of the staff's friendliness. I highly recommend this gym!
