Amazing gym. If I lived in Kansas City I would train here. Tough but encouraging room. Trey is a word-class martial artist and teacher. Drop-ins are welcomed

I have tried a few mixed martial arts gyms in the area and this one stands out by far! From plentiful staff with a philosophy of “seeding the garden more than you take the fruit” they truly put back into their members in a way that makes it feel like family. The gym is clean with nice greenery to enhance the atmosphere and the staff and other gym goers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable with any questions you might have. Whether you are looking to lose weight (I’ve already lost ten pounds woot woot) or fight competitively I highly suggest this gym. My family and I have made it an affair with the whole gang joining the gym! The best part is if you aren’t sure it’s for you they let you try a class and even have equipment to borrow before you commit.

Great place for all levels of experience! Glad I decided to join the Marathon family and begin my journey in MMA and BJJ! I had no experience in martial arts of any kind before joining, Trey makes things very easy to understand while always motivating you to push yourself. The instructors and students are all very welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge to share. I would recommend anyone to join regardless of your age or experience!

Marathon was the forth gym I visited in Kansas City. Marathon stood out as technical, competitive and honest. Trey uses action more than words- he is concise. If a position only works in practice he won’t teach it. The staff keeps the common areas clean and neat. The members here are strong and technical. I am fortunate to call Marathon my home gym after trying the others.

Exceptional Community and Instruction for All Skill Levels! From the moment I stepped foot into this place, I was blown away by the remarkable sense of community and the unparalleled quality of instruction. As a complete novice with absolutely no prior experience in grappling, MMA, or any form of fighting, I was warmly welcomed and supported by everyone. The instructors and fellow members went above and beyond in ensuring that I received the guidance and assistance I needed to excel. Their expertise and patience were truly outstanding, as they patiently walked me through the basics and gradually built up my skills and confidence. It's incredible how much progress I've made thanks to their guidance and encouragement. Not only did the instructors possess an impressive wealth of knowledge and experience, but they were also skilled at breaking down complex techniques into easily understandable steps. They took the time to answer my questions, correct my form, and provide invaluable feedback, ensuring that I learned proper techniques and minimized the risk of injury. The community at this place is something truly special. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and genuinely passionate about helping each other grow. It's an inclusive environment where people of all skill levels are welcomed and embraced. Whether you're a seasoned fighter or a complete beginner like myself, you'll find a network of individuals who will go out of their way to assist you on your journey. The facilities are top-notch, equipped with all the necessary gear and a clean, spacious training area. The staff does an excellent job of maintaining a hygienic and safe environment, which is especially important in combat sports.Overall, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're looking to get into grappling, MMA, or any form of fighting, regardless of your experience level, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better community or instruction. Prepare to be amazed by the knowledgeable instructors, the friendly members, and the incredible progress you'll make on your martial arts journey.

This is an elite gym. I started training a few months ago with no prior experience and was hooked on my first day. Trey and his group of coaches provide high level training in an environment that is welcoming to all skill levels. The supportive community of people is a testament to the coaches genuine passion for the sport, as well as their desire to make each and every member of the gym a better person through martial arts. I would highly recommend signing up for a trial class if you have any interest at all in beginning your journey.

I started BJJ about 6 months ago and my first class was here at Marathon MMA and it was amazing! The instructors are top tier, all the students are very welcoming and the atmosphere is great. Honestly the best gym in KC, whether you just want the conditioning of an athlete or you want to be an absolute killer!

Was looking for a place to train while in KC for business and found Glory MMA. As soon as I walked in the door I knew this was the place. Alex and Trey were super welcoming and the students and teammates followed suit which is a direct reflection on the leadership. The place was clean and the teaching was tight. Lots and lots of killer rounds. If I lived around here Glory would be my home gym. I’ll defiantly step back on these mats the next time I’m in town.Great job guys!!

My wife and I joined Glory OP new to BJJ, we had tried other gyms in the past and did not have a great experience. Trey and his crew are top tier instructors at all levels. Their leadership also shines through in all of their other members. We have made great friends as all of the members have been quick to help and willing to train with my wife and I at our level. I would highly recommend Glory to anyone looking to get into the sport of MMA or BJJ.
