Worst service ever, just force you to buy membership! This place is so sick that they steal your money through your card and refuse to refund if you wanna quit. Don’t be fooled!

3.4 stars is too high for this gym. Amenities are always full. Staff is rude. Going back to my old gym after 2 weeks. Don't waste your time and effort. Theirs a reason why they are doing 35 cent to start promo!!

Horrible experience in my first day after signing up, doesn't seem like they do regular cleaning sessions. Found dry sweat stains in a couple machines.. asked an employee a question and they ignored me. Not even worth my 35 cents

DO NOT JOINI just wanted to drop a quick note to share my incredibly frustrating experience with Gold's Gym, and I strongly advise against joining them.I've been trying to cancel my membership for what feels like forever. I've done it all - visited in person, handed in my card, made countless calls, and even had to go to the extreme of closing my bank account, which I'd held for over 20 years, just to stop them from charging me.During one of my visits, I couldn't even see a manager, let alone get inside because they marked my account as "delinquent." It's frustrating because I know the staff, especially this nice Latina lady, were trying to help, but their hands were tied.I mean, seriously, it's not like the manager was stuck in meetings all day, right? It's not Goldman Sachs! I just couldn't get a hold of anyone who could actually assist me.In a last-ditch effort, I sent an email to the manager, even though I doubt I'll ever hear back from them. They were supposed to call me back since January, and I'm still waiting for that call. It's beyond frustrating. So, long story short, if you're thinking about Gold's Gym, please reconsider. Their membership cancellation process has been a never-ending nightmare, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I've experienced.

Talked to this young guy that worked in the front on Friday 07/21/2023, let me tell you this guy is rude, I first brought a bottle of water that used to be 3 bucks, now it's 3.49, when I asked him about the price, he basically just said I have no idea what the price used to be, you still wanted it? What pissed me off the most is when I jump on the treadmill at around 10:08 pm, he came across the room start yelling, "hey we closed, get out! Did you not heard? We are closed, get out!" It felt like I dissed him or hit on his girlfriend or something, like as soon as he heard the treadmill running, he felt his authority was being challenged! First of all I didn't know you guys close at 10pm, and 10pm sharp, this guy have the nerve to tell me when he was going around telling everyone that we are closed, sorry I wasn't even there when you whispered, he made it sound it like it's my fault, oh well, I was on the fence if I should change to 24 hour fitness, now it's a easy decision, so thanks to him for being rude!

i go to college in texas so when i come home for breaks i go to golds. no matter what time i come, it’s packed and i have to wait for machines or benches. i would recommend getting more squat racks/platforms in general because only having 3 with the amount of people that come to the gym is ridiculous. weights are usually all over the place and out in the wrong places as well. i think in general it’s too small for the amount of people that come. an expansion would be great.

Gym equipment is adequate, but don't bother with the personal trainer. The main trainer is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to motivate you, and that's how they hook you in. The actual trainer you get is subpar. He teaches you the basics you can find anywhere on YouTube. He doesn't hold you accountable and provides lackluster motivation. Don't even bother to ask advanced questions and how to address it such as muscular imbalance. He'll provide vague information that doesn't help.I barely used my training sessions because of this. They never followed me up with my unused sessions. I tried calling for a refund and was redirected to an email, but there was no reply. Gym cancelation was straightforward, but the personal training is a scam. If you're a complete beginner, then it may be beneficial, but otherwise, don't bother.

I have a love/hate relationship with this gym, but I’m giving them 3 stars for a few reasons:They Always have problems with the women’s locker room. Either the sinks are broken, there’s no soap, no toilet paper, or no paper towels. I started my workout at 1045am and told the front desk. She said maintenance would get in and do this at 11am. It’s almost noon and no one has been in and I see no sign up tahr they are busy at the men’s room. I don’t know how many people I saw who work here and seem to not be doing much. I’ve worked at gyms and restocked items myself, so this is just bad management. They also play the WORST jazz music in the locker room. Total buzzkill before a workout.Staff seem nice, but don’t seem to care much about anything. This is a small gym, but they have mostly what you need. If you are doing a heavy leg day, I don’t recommend coming here. They don’t have many platforms here and that side of the gym is always full of people, so it’s rare you can get access to the machines and squat rack. There are also a crazy amount of people who just linger. Lots of young kids and middle aged people who just sit and scroll on their phones with no working out actually happening or any regard for other people waiting. This isn’t the front desks fault, but just the culture I’ve observed and experienced myself. One time, I went through 3 solid workouts while a young guy said he was using a machine. He didn’t do a single set or let me use it. I was busy training for no joke-15 minutes and I watched as he scrolled on his phone and watched football. It was extremely frustrating since I actually had things to do and limited time to do real training.Overall, there are better options elsewhere. I come here because it’s very convenient from my home, the parking is easier than Glendale, and because I do like their cardio equipment and their cinema area. That’s about the only thing that keeps me coming back.

It's an alright gym.-The weightlifting section is usually packed, causing ppl to take over other machines that has a bench but is meant for other exercises(ie-rope pulling). There are also lots of ppl that occupy machines for long periods of time while texting and sending selfie while taking 5min breaks between each set. They are not even trying. If you rotate between several machines like I do, high occupancy is just terrible.-+Treadmill is probably the best area to be at because most of the weightlifters don't do leg day. They have a lot of treadmills, but there are 4 particular ones that are really good especially if you like to go hard, but unfortunately they are right next to the men's locker room so if somebody drops a nasty bomb in the restroom, you can smell it!!! Not often but when it smells, it smells... Another problem is that it can get really hot because the air can get stagnate during summer.-+ The padding area is alright. Sometimes its empty and sometimes packed. If you're doing calisthenics then expect short elbow rooms at times. When it's packed it's really awkward to do side crunches because there's usually women on each side of me doing their own thing. I have the craziest idea that they think I am creeping and wiggling my pelvis at them. 🫨-- there's a movie room for cardio ppl too(treadmills and stuff), but its always dark and the movies are not your choice... so its usually empty and a waste of space. There's also a peloton room but its never open so that's a waste of space.+There's a cool small ring for boxing and wrestling, and there's a couple of punching bags as well! Its cool to watch ppl train at times. There's a room you can dance in but there's usually ppl in there.-The classes there are really just for casuals. The place is very casual friendly so if you're casual its a great place. When the gym is half full, the place is actually pretty good. There's some ppl that are very fit so if you're a physiques enthusiast you might feel at home. All the HIT athletes are gone.
