Love Mike and his crew of trainers! UFC is so convenient for me, and has become an important part of my physical and mental health. My schedule is pretty unpredictable, but I’ve realized, at the spur of the moment, I can go from my desk to a UFC class and be back at my desk in just over an hour - and what happens in between is a sweat-drenching, lung- and muscle - busting workout. I’m amazing how challenging the 45 - minute classes are I leave feeling great. And sore the next day, but the good kind of sore! I’ve even brought my teen daughters! Thanks Mike, DJ and Brandon!

I've been going to UFB for almost 6 years now, and I'm ashamed this is my first time writing a review! I cannot recommend this gym enough. It is a GEM.A little background: I'm a mom to a 2-year old and graduate student who frequently works 10~12 hour days. While I enjoy exercise, like many other working parents, it has been difficult to prioritize working out when you're pulled in a million different directions. UFB has helped me consistently integrate exercise into my lifestyle. And while I can probably go on forever about how amazing they are, I thought it'd be helpful to break it down into 3 main aspects of this gym.1. Structure: every class is 45~50 minutes, usually consisting of 5~10min warmup and 5min cool down. 45minutes fly by at UFB (I haaaate that feeling of consistently looking at the clock wondering when a workout will end), and they always keep it fresh by changing up the workouts on a daily and weekly basis. I like the way the week is structured (M:whole body, T:heavy lifts, W:body weight HIIT, Th:arms/abs, Fri:lower body) so I can choose to attend all or some days and still feel like I got a well balanced workout that week. Most importantly they offer hybrid classes (live classes that are available virtually) and I have yet to find another gym that offers this! As a busy working parent, this has been a life saver.2. Kindness and inclusivity: in the past, I've felt intimidated walking into some other gyms and feeling self conscious about my definitely-not-size-0 body. I've never felt that way at UFB where there are lots of different people at various athletic levels, and all the workouts are modifiable! I've started doing personal training with coach Mike the past few months, and everytime I feel weak and am disappointed in my progress, he's been so supportive, understanding, and kind. As someone who has struggled with body image issues in the past, having a coach who truly understands the importance of exercise for mental and physical health, instead of just aesthetics, has been so important for me.3. Integrity: when Mike noticed that I was only able to come in at most 3 times a week, he informed me that I could sign up for the less expensive package to save me some money (which I had no idea I could do!). I was shocked. I am so used to gyms taking advantage of "make money off of people not coming" that I was so touched by his honesty. I've been a student for a while and he's honored my student rate for many years now, in addition to flexibly stopping my membership - no questions asked - when we were tight on cash. With personal training, I've unfortunately had to cancel last minute many times due to my toddler's numerous colds from daycare, but he has never once said anything negative about my schedule changes or charged me for these classes.UFB is a gem of a gym and without them I would not be able to seamlessly incorporate physical activity into my busy life. Cannot recommend this gym enough!

I'm so glad that I found this place. Mike and his team is really great at coming up with different fitness classes to work you till you want to drop. I used to hate going to gyms cause I feel like everyone's just judging you but at UFB, I don't really feel that.UFB is open Monday to Saturday. Their schedule usually stays the same and if there are any changes, they'll typically announce it at the end of every class. They have classes in the morning and at night. They have one big class on Saturdays, sometimes at the Rose Bowl. Each session is typically ~45 mins. Workouts consist of cardio, bodyweight exercises, and some weight training. They have quite a bit of gym equipment that they utilize: 3 assault bikes, jump ropes, stretch bands, bosu balls, TRX systems, and various foam rollers. I think I'm missing a few things but you get the idea. They have a small lot out back where you can park and there are a few spots along the alleyway, and a few more spots out front. I've been able to park without any issues. If you're thinking about doing it, you should! The first week is hell and everything hurt... but after that, you feel kind of refreshed (after your workout not during).

The coaches are amazing with great attitude. Everyday is a new set of workouts which keeps our bodies guessing. I started with UFB in Feb 2019 and have lost 60lbs. I had lots of questions regarding my food intake and coach Mike was great in providing great feedback.

Goined through Groupon for me and a friend the classes are about an hour to 45 minutes each. Gracie is so wonderful she really takes the time to explain how to do the workouts even if you have never done anything like this before like me and my friend m. she modified exercises to still work out he same muscles as the more advanced members. and her playlist is amazing she keeps the class fun and really makes you enjoy working out.
