A great, gym with friendly staff and a humble environment. It's been around for some time and you can see that but it's well maintained and they have everything you need.

The music in the gym at 6am every Tuesday is too loud. Seriously affect nearby residents. expect it to change.

A good old fashioned gym. Boxing lessons from Jim were very good and I would recommend that class strongly.

Great gym in South Philadelphia and a great community of people. I really appreciate Chip, he gets the doors open on time and is always hard working making sure the place is clean and ready to go for those of us who have early start times and still like to hit the gym in the morning.

I called to book a free trial of the pool today. The person who answered said they close at 5 and you can book a lane for 30 mins. I asked if 4:30 was fine and they said yes, so I called a rideshare over to make sure I was on time since it was snowing. I also asked if they needed any name or number and they said no, I could just show up. When I arrived at around 4:32 the door was locked. I called the front desk twice and no one answered. I had to stand outside in the cold waiting until 4:45 when I realized no one was going to open the door. Extremely unprofessional - if there was a policy barring entry past 4:30 they should have mentioned it on the phone or at least taken my number to call or text me about it. Otherwise, they could have answered my phone calls, or even left the door unlocked and told me once I had arrived that I wouldn’t be able to use the facilities. Extremely disappointed that I wasted time and money getting here and back in the snow, to have 0 response from the front desk. Will not be coming back here again.

Fitness Works is a great place to work out if you're looking for a no frills gym or a place with a pool. The equipment isn't all brand new or high tech, but it'll have what you need. It's well maintained and I always find the staff helpful. If you want to go at high peak times, you MAY need to wait for a cable machine or wind your way around other gym goers, but if you're a little flexible in your routine that shouldn't be a problem.

Awesome, no-frills gym; some older equipment but is very well maintained with everything you may need (weights, cardio machines, fleet of spin bikes, mirrored studio, lap lane pool). Super affordable with a variety of classes included or for a minimal additional cost. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The front desk is very responsive to any needs, can help you enroll in classes (or you can do it yourself online), provide water / sports drinks (at cost), and answer questions. It's a great neighborhood gym with a lot of long-term loyal members

Ive been a member here for 26 years and I cant imagine going to another gym. The staff and owner really get to know each member, they always have time for you. The members are great, no clicks, very friendly and respectful towards one another. The instructors are great!!
